Chapter 2

The bar was practically empty apart for a few stragglers the obnoxious dick from earlier still sat at the bar on his 5th or 6th beer. Why's he here alone on a Friday night?

"Hey Aki"

I turn round to face Takeo giving him a small smile. "What's up?" I watch as the older man rubs his neck avoiding eye contact I folded my arms over my breats. "Spit it out old man!" "HEY! I'M NOT THAT OLD!" I chuckel as I see his ears turn slightly red. "whatever, what you want" the red quickly disappearing from his ears as he avoids eye contact once again. "Well here's the thing one of the kids I picked up a few weeks back got in trouble with the police and I gotta go bail them out" I let out a little growl

"your still saving kids" I asked annoyed.

"Aki I-"

"no" I interrupt "didn't you learn from last time not all the kids in this part of town can be saved and all your doing is waisting your time and money" Takeo suddenly stands tall looking down on me. "Aki not all of these kids are lost causes looks at you what would have happened to you if I didn't stop you from robbing that mother and daughter 6 years ago. And what about kenji you telling me she would have been a lost cause too?"

I look away shaking my head. "You know that's not what I mean"

Takeo sighs resting his hand on my shoulder. "Aki I'm sorry about Kia, but just because one kid couldn't be saved from their old ways don't mean others can't. Please can you close up the pub tonight" still not making eye contact facing to the side I nod, watching in the corner of my eye I see as the old mans face relaxs with relief patting my shoulder a few times before grabbing his bike helmet and Jacket.

"Thank you Aki see you Monday." and he walks out the door.

I watch as the mother and daughter I've been following rounds the corner and begins to walk down the ally "Come on Aki Suzuki it's just a simple pick pocket relax you can do this."

CLANG!

I jumped at the sudden nose eyes scanning the area around me frantically. "Mommy, mommy look it's a kitten" I sigh realising there wasn't a threat.

"Come along dear we need to get home Daddys waiting for us"

I continue to follow behind the mother and daughter picking up my pace a bit ready to barge into the young woman and swipe the wallet that I saw her pull out a couple of 1000¥ notes when leaving some fancy restaurant.

"Here I go"  I walk so I'm directly behind the mother and get ready to barge suddenly I'm yanked back hand coverd my mouth I thrash within my captors arms my cries for help muffled.

"Hey kid stop moving will ya I just saved you from commiting a crime and this is how you repay me?"

I stop moving the tight grip around my waist began to losen. "Kid, I'm here to help there's no need to be afraid" I nod my head and my captor releases me slowly, quick on my feet I turn around and take a few steps back reaching for the little knife I had in the back pocket of my ripped and muddy jeans... it's gone. "Shit! What do you want from me" I look up at the tall man in front of me he had long black hair tied in a bun and tattoos all along his neck his ears pointy like an elf.

"My name is Tanaka Takeo but you can call me by my first name Takeo I want to help you no kid should have to steal to survive" still keeping my distance I let out a dry chuckel. "Help me why would you want to do that? What's in it for you?" A sad smile crosses the elf looking man "what's your name kid" I stear at the man for a few minutes "Suzuki Aki" I mumble. The soft smile from before reappears on the mans face. "Can I call you Aki?" He questions. "Whatever old man" I say as I look away relaxing my form a but crossing my arms. "I AM NOT OLD" Takeo shouts I then burst out laughing as I watched his ears turn red. "That's a first for a while"

"I see you like my ears" Takeo Tanaka asks seemed to calm down. "Is that your quirk?" I ask curiously. I watch as he leans back against the wall of the ally crossing his arms I do the same. "Part of my quirk I have a mutation quirk called Elf it give me the ability to Malleability which gives me the ability to alter my appearance from information I have on the genetic code of someone. As well for my colour changing ears it correspond with the emotion I'm feeling with the emotion he is feeling like when before when I got a little but annoyed that you called me old my ears turned red to show that I'm angry." My eyes wide in amazement I took a step towards Takeo.

"That's a pretty cool quirk for an old man" I watch as Takeos ears turn the slightest bit red before turning back to normal again. "So Aki do you have a quirk" I freeze and don't answer "should I really tell him my quirk?" "Kid I'm not gunna hurt you or use anything you say against you trust me" Takeo said with a reassuring smile. "My quirk is called conscience I can trap people in their own subconscious and sometimes alter it to" I look down nervous to hear what a kind man like Takeo has to say about a villian quirk like mine" "Dam Aki that's one extraordinary quirk" I look up meeting his gave my stomach swerling in joy. "You think so" I ask a bit more prep then before in my voice. "Yeah the ability to be able to make one's subconscious a reality and ulter it is amazing" I run up and hug Takeo "Thank you" I say as tears began to full down my pale cheeks. "Hey kid want to come live with me and a few other kids your own age who I helped out like you" I pull away to stear up at the man who's showed me true kindness nodding my head as tears still fell from my eyes like rain droplets.

"I'd love too."

The present

"Alright folks finnish you'd drinks and head out we're closing" I call out to the few drinkers left in the bar earning a bunch of graons from the men women around.

I head over to cashier and lock it up putting the money in a zip lock bag for Takeo to count out when he gets the chance, I wash and dry all glasses and start to stack the chairs on top of the tables now that most the customers were gone. I turn around to grab my jacket and keys to bump into a chest.

"Ow what the hell" I step back rubbing my forehead and looking up at what I walked into to see the raven haird man from before smirking down at me.

"Whoops sorry princess didn't see you there" he grinned

I hate that stupid grin. "Well maybe if you open your eyes you might see me next time" I growl "I doute that" he said bluntly "get. out. The. Way. Now." I say moving past him to grab my jacket and keys.

"What's your name" he asked his voice lack of the mocking tone I'd grew customed to but instead blunt and serious.

"Suzuki Aki" I said quietly confused by the raven head actions.

"Whats yours?" I ask hestintly not sure if he would actually answer. I make eye contact as he stears at me like he's waiting for me to realise something or remember something. "Who are you?"

"I'm no one" he mumbles starting to walk away quickly, I chase after him pulling him back by his wrist his hands instantly grabbing my own in reflect slamming me into the bar side. "Don't ever try to touch me again" he said those blue eyes stearing into my soul bringing me some kind of deja vu "I know you don't I?  Who are you?"

"I asked you a question answer me" I said trying to stand tall while he's still pinning me down making me fail miserably at my attempt of dominance. A breathy laugh left his throat his breath on my lips reminding me how closes he was he smelt of cigarettes and campfire.

"So fiesty" he whispered brushing a strand that fell from my ponytail out of my face. I was paralysed by the movement butterflies corrupted my stomach swimming like crazy.

"If you must know my name is Dabi" he smirked releasing his hold on me and leaving.

I stood in the middle of the room shocked. "I had just spoken to the flame villan Dabi!"

End of Chapter 2 Aki has just met Dabi... I wonder how she will cope after finding out she was in such close contact with such a dangerous villian like Dabi. Find out in Chapter 3 - Author chan out
