♥ Chapter 2 ♥

"L/n F/n, head to a village northwest!" shouted your crow, you rolled out of your futon, as your crow continued to repeat the same words. You slowly stretched out and hurried off to put on your uniform and haori. You grabbed your katanna, sliding it onto your belt of your uniform, you scurry over to the entrance of Butterfly Mansion, putting on your shoes, as you turn to the door, it opens and your Sensei is standing there, looking at you. " Y/n? Where are you going?" She ask, " Se-, I mean Misturi, I have a mission." " Oh okay, take this, you might need it" she hands you clip, a butterfly clip with pink and green and a heart pattern in the wings. You put in your hair, " wow it really suits you, Shinbou was right!" She smiles, she moves out of the door way" good luck, Y/n!" Misturi shouts, as you run out of the mansion. You turn and wave at her, as you make your way to your destination. Your crow lands on your shoulder, you stroke it's feathers lightly, you look ahead and see a bridge and a village, " I guess this is the northwest village" you say looking around, your crow nods and flies off. You look at the water " Wow, so pretty!" You feel a warm hand on top of yours, you turn and see a boy with red hair " I am so sorry, I didn't see your hand on the rail!" He apologizes, " It's okay!" You say with a smile, " I am Tanjiro Kamado, what is yours?" You look at him, surprised' I found him!' You thought, " I am F/n L/n, Nice to meet you!" He looks at your uniform, "Are you a member of the Demon Slayer Corp?" " Yes, I am, I am on a mission, are you on the same mission as me?" " I guess so" he smiled. Tanjiro starts to walk towards the village and you followed behind him, your eyes wandered on his box, ' Is that where his sister is?' You wondered, you slowly walked beside him,"Oh look, there's Kazumi" said a woman,"  Poor thing, He doesn't look good." Both you and Tanjiro noticed the boy as you walked past him, he was all beat up and walked sluggish. You heard whispers as they talked about the boy" Well, he was there when Satoko was taken." ' Bingo!" you thought, you turned and walked over to the boy and Tanjiro followed. "Excuse me, Kazumi." He turns around and looks at you" We would like to hear your side of the story."

"This is where Satoko vanished" said Kazumi," But I am sure, you don't believe me." "We do believe you." You say , " Alright then, Let's get started" said Tanjiro, as he bends down and starts to smell around,"Umm, Kamado-" Call me Tanjiro" " Okay, then Tanjiro, what are you doing?" "Smelling for the demon." "Okay." Tanjiro begins sniff around, Kazumi becomes hesitant," You really don't-" "But we do." You say as you followed Tanjiro, people around town, started to stare but you both paided no mind as there was a important mission to complete. Kazumi just stared at you and Tanjiro while touching his bruised cheek.

"How dare you!" Kazumi held his bruised cheek, " you lost her! You bastard" yelled a man, grabbing onto Kazumi's shirt," Honey, please stop!" Yelled a woman, clinging onto the man's shirt, trembling. Kazumi was beaten up, his nose bleeding , he looked behind, at what was left of Satoko, just a piece of cloth.

Guilt built up in Kazumi, recalling the memory. It was no longer daylight out and you were feeling a little tired, "I want you to believe me, she did really just vanish." said Kazumi, "We believe you, that's why we are a here." Replies Tanjiro, you guys both continue walking."Are you both really going to keep going?" "Yes, we are" "Look at how late it is, I am glad you are concerned but maybe you should rest and pick it up tomorrow." says Kazumi." We really appericate the concern, Kazumi but demons are only active at night." "I got somthing, it's a new scent, it's near the area." Says Tanjiro." Wait a second, don't tell me, you guys are-" Tanjiro suddenly takes off and you follow behind," They are so fast." " It's terryfing." Says a woman." I want you to stay indoors where it's safe." "I will, Mother." responds a young girl" good night, I am going to bed." She walks out and quietly shuts the door behind her, she walks through the hallway, a green liquid follows behind her, she makes it into her bedroom, the green liqiud in the floor disappers. The girl takes off her robe and hangs it up gently, she then walks over to her futon, the green liquid then reappears. The girl settles herself into the futon, pulling the sheet over her."I wonder what happened to the girls who disappeared, I hope their alright." She closes her eyes, drifting to sleep, the green liquid spreads around her futon, a pair of hands emerges from the liquid around her head.The pair of hands then clamp onto her face, she sudden wakes up,scared and confused. She is slowly taken into the liquid, she reaches out her hand for help as she is fully submerge into the swamp. Tanjiro starts to pick up his pace, ' He's got somthing' you thought, as you also start to pick up the pace," The demon is active, the scent got stronger." Tanjiro and you jump up onto the roof," How did they do that?'" " So they really are apart of the-" Tamjiro suddenly stops, so did you, " Tanjiro, what is it?" " It's here, the smell is the strongest here." Tanjiro takes out his Katana from his belt, 'A black sword' you thought, you also grab for your sword, taking it out. Tanjiro looked over at you, admiring your sword,' Her sword is so thin and flexible.' You watch as Tanjiro positions his blade down, moving it. You postion yourself ready to fight, Tanjiro then stabs the group and swap water sprays everywhere. Tanjiro sees a piece of fabric flooding in the water, he gasps and quickly grabs the woman. You position yourself in front of Tanjiro and the woman, as the demon pops out of the water, " What happened to those girls, you kidnapped?" you ask, the demon says nothing, instead he chatters his teeth,'my ears' you thought. He then plumbs underwater and disappers, you look around, " Who was that?" Asks Kazumi, who just arrived, " A demon" you say, Tanjiro hands Kazumi the woman,"please take care of her while we handle this and stay close."You and Tanjiro look around,wary. Tanjiro closes his eyes and the smell overwhelms him "Now!" he shouts, moving forward.

"Water breathing, first form-"

Hands lung from under the ground," Tanjiro!" you shout,' Dammit, I can't help him' you look over at Kazumi and the girl' I have to protect them.' Tanjiro then jumps up, he moves his blade up.

"Eight form, Waterfall Basin!"

A waterfall then falls over them, the severed arms of the demons, fly up' dammit, I missed all the vulnerable spots!' They then disappered, Tanjiro jumps back, next to you. As the both of you scan the area, the liquid moves behind Kazumi and the demon lungs at him, you moved first.

"First form, Shivers of Love!"
