Irvine loved watching her neighbours kids. The two young Shifters were adorable. She knew that they weren't siblings, one day the two would be the Alpha of the pack, and the other was going to be the Omega, tough little boys even at the age of 7. She would listen to Malcolm trying to throw around his Alpha personality at bedtime.

"But Irvine. You have to listen to me. I'm the Alpha!" His blonde hair falling into his eyes, as he puffed out his chest, his eyes flashed gold to drive the point home he was Alpha, it was hard not to laugh.

"Yes Malcolm, I know. One day you will be Alpha. But remember Mr. Alpha, I'm a human. You don't have the same power over me as you would another Shifter. I think that is why your parent's get me to watch you, because I am not afraid of you, just like I am not afraid of your fathers, not even your mom," Irvine leans against the door frame crossing her arms over her chest. "Now, I have let both you and Jackson stay up past your bedtime. So, let's get to sleep before your parents get home and I get fired, because I promise the next babysitter will not eat your vegetables for you." It only takes a moment for Malcolm to finally give up and climb to the top bunk.

"Ugh fine. But just so you know I am very disappointed." Malcolm mumbles as he crawls under the blankets.

"Dude. We got two extra hours out of her tonight. I bet we just have to keep working at her and she will let us stay up even longer next time." Jackson his Omega counterpart says stifling a yawn.

"Probably not. But I would never tell you two to stop. Good night boys." Irvine turns off the light and closes the door.

She knew very well that both boys would stay in bed, they both fight to stay up later, Malcolm with his dominating personality, and Jackson with his perception on emotions, but once she says no. They stay in bed, and are quiet.

She walks to the huge bathroom between the two bedrooms and looks at herself in the mirror. Her red hair was out of control today, even in the braid the hair was everywhere, fixing her shirt over her curvy hips, her sad blue eyes and frowned. Taking the braid out and running her fingers through her curly locks then settling on putting it in a messy bun. She'd been dieting and exercising for the past 18 years and runs every day yet she just couldn't shed the weight she thought she should. Her mother kept telling her the only way she would be able to attract a man is by shedding the excess weight. Which even though Irvine knew full well there were guys out there that liked curves, and she had dated a few, none were what she was looking for, they were all missing the thing that would set her heart to feel like she was having a heart attack.

She wanted what her neighbours had, heat, passion, and seeing how the three Alphas looked at each other. But at her age of 36 she figured it was only in the Shifter world shit like that happened, humans didn't do that sort of thing, at least what she knew of, her parents separated when she was 12 – and she never saw her father again. Sighing she heads down stairs to the massive living room and sits in the normal chair she sits in and waits for the triad to come home, pulling out her book, and begins to read. Irvine has lived near the Alpha's since she was 14 when she came to live with her grandparents after moving from city to city with her mother for two years Irvine had, had enough, and moved in with them, and after they passed away 15 years ago she stayed living in the tiny house, they left her - alone. She didn't mind living alone, hell she was used to it, but she was getting to the age where she wanted something more out of life, she wanted someone to want her, and quite possibly children.

"Hello Irvine." Emma the mom of Malcolm said as the three returned, Irvine almost jumped out of her skin.

"Holy crap." Irvine squeaks, her hand over her chest. "Sorry Emma, I didn't hear you come in." Irvine stands and puts her book into her purse, looking toward the door behind her watching James and Darren come in talking to some man that Irvine, has never seen before.
