Though kind and outgoing Miss Alice Jones had quite the reputation. She now had bigger problems, her fiancé Lord James Lupin requested their wedding be in her home town. Where Anthony was.

Alice tried to intervene with the thought but James was set on going.
"Do you think he'll recognize me?" Alice asked her maid who was tightening her corset. "I wouldn't worry about him madam your engaged and he's hoping to marry the seasons diamond." The maid answered her Scottish accent making it hard to understand her.
Alice sighed and slipped on her ball gown.

Alice was speaking to her best friend from childhood when he walked in, lord Bridgerton himself. Alice froze and so did he their eyes were locked and what was only ten seconds felt like ten years.
When a band of girls gathered around him. Alice knew what ever happened between them was in the past two years in the past to be in fact. Alice was now twenty and engaged.
Alice sped outside tears threatening to spill from the corners of her eyes. When Anthony appeared.
"Alice I-" he tried to speak. "Don't." Alice said sighing. "Don't call me Alice that is miss Jones to you." Alice coldly said not daring to look him in the eye. "Ali- Miss Jones why have you come back here?" Anthony questioned. "My fiancé suggested we visit my home town to be wed and then go back to Paris to raise our children."
"Fiancé?..." Anthony froze and he swallowed harshly. Anthony knew Alice hated the thought of marriage.
Anthony slowly grazed her cheek with his thumb and Alice closed her eyes remembering everything that happened two years ago. When Kate sharma walked out. "Oh my Im terribly sorry!" She yelped face as red as a tomato.
Soon everyone had witnessed what happened. "HOW COULD YOU DO GHIS TO ME?!" James yelled causing everyone to look at him. "I-I-" Alice tried to say something anything but nothing came out.
