Most of Zak's team was in the wreck room, working out and toning up; he wanted his team to be prepped, for when the newbies got there they had to fight to get first dibs. He was bench pressing, with Rick as his spotter. The rules were that it was a all teams free for all match, and which ever team was left was the winner and get first pick, the other teams got to pick in the order the fell from last to first team fallen. So far Zak's team, team blue, had come in third or worse since the second bunch of troops got here.
"So, I was thinking that we could look again over their files, while eating dinner." Rick suggested.
Zak hooked the bar up, then sat up. "Huh?"
"You know, when the time roles round; and we get to pick our add-ons." He patted Zak's back, motioning him to move.
"Oh, yeah." Zak nodded. "That would be a great idea." He was looking out the windows; the other teams were out in the field or running the track. There was Auzerkah troops outside also; they seemed to be watching how the teams train and making comments. Zak looked around, seeing if Roy and Zaphora were out there.
Rick laid back, and looked up at him. "Dude, seriously?"
"What?" Zak looked down at him.
"No," Rick stood and walked around the bench; closing in on Zak. "Dude, you cannot let this happen. Not again."
Zak looked at him with disbelieve, "No, it won't; I wasn't even thinking about her. I was wondering where the rest of my team is at." He looked around and growled.
Rick looked around, "Yeah, Katy, Jasmine, and Tiff aren't here; where the heck are they now?"
"I don't know; but the next round of trading, I am going to get rid of as many of them as I can." Zak snapped. "I am sick an tired of losing."
Rick patted his back, "Nice to see you come to your senses."
A girl using the butterfly machine giggled, "I guess they wanted to get dolled up," She looked at Zak, then gave a wink. Her eyes were bright blue; and she had dark brown hair, and lighter skin. Her face features were defined, and she was toned; just the way she liked it.
Zak rolled his eyes, "Come on Jess, they just need to give up. It is not gonna happen." He looked around, "That doesn't explain were Carla is at though." He looked back down at her.
"I think she is actually getting info on the newbies." Rick said, looking around the room.
Zak pointed at him, "That I can excuse." He nodded, "At least she's being helpful." He looked at Jesse still working on the butterfly machine. "Unlike the others."
She threw her hands in the air, "I have tried to tell them, but they think you will come around; I on the other hand just dropped it, you know I just like to mess around, right?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I know, but why don't they understand? I am not interested, and they need to just walk away. I am sure, there is someone else here that would be better suited for them, that is actually interested."
"I think, someone needs to listen to themselves first." Rick prodded.
"Really?" Zak turned and looked at him. "Come on, why is no one trusting me with this?" He stepped back. "First Ralph, now you-"
"Well, maybe it's because we can't?" Rick barked, cutting him off.
"Oh oh oh," One of the guys came up, with a chuckle in his voice. "What can't we do about Zak?" He looked at him slyly.
"Codie, go away." Zak turned and faced the bench.
Codie slapped his shoulder, "Man, I heard about what happened, you totally fell head over heels, dude."
