Bold and Italic: Thoughts
Note: Sam's pronouns are He/they. I will be mostly using They/them pronouns.

As I walk on the once busy path, I can't help but look around to see if anything survived. It had been so long since these roads were traveled on, and now that someone had finally walked on them, the wood underneath crumbled and rotted with the pressure of footsteps. I once lived in this place, though not many had liked me. I was once a great warrior, feared by many, but now I was simply a traveler. Going from land to land seeking out those who had left and been forgotten.I run a hand through my hair, my anxiousness now rising toward the surface and my thoughts turning somber
I'm sorry I wasn't here with you guys. I wish I was.
I sigh and pull my cape closer around my body.
Nothing to do about it now I guess. The only thing that's left are memories.
I lift my head to clouded sky, smoke lingering in the air and ash still falling as if the sky was crying. Memories flashed in my mind: Loud yells, laughter, bright flashes, guilt, smoke, fire, and pain. A shiver ran down my back just trying to think of it. Anyone who had been in those memories were now only that, memories. They had long since gone, whether physically to another place or elsewhere where no one could find them.
I've tried to find them, but to no avail. They just don't want to be found.
I sigh and keep my feet waking. As I walked, I came across four pillars standing in a rectangular shape. Standing as if something grand was once there. My feet freeze in place as I come across said structure. All I can do is stare at it with anger. The once loud voices in my head now quiet with only murmurs addressing their presence.
As I stare at the structure, more and more memories flood to the surface of my mind. Not all bad ones, though the bad ones stick out more. Memories of a snow covered field, polar bears, a man with big black wings, crows, red and green eyes, wolves, cozy fire. Good memories, unlike the others.
I coninue forward with much hesitation.
I don't like the vibe this place gives off, I never have.
As I came closer to the pillars, a figure could be seen in the distance. The figure looked to be pretty tall with pointy elf-like ears and a green cape drapped around them. As I got closer I noticed their short pulled back green hair and dulled golden crown wrapped around their head. The figure wore a green and black gas mask on their face, but that didn't hide their black eyes with bright unnatural green irises and glowing emerald freckle-like dots on their face. They seemed to be kneeling down next to one of the pillars, doing what, I dont know. I walked down the rotted wood path to the pillars, and to see who this figure was. As I approached them, the figure quickly stood up and pulled out a glowing purple sword in my direction.
"Who are you?" They growled, smoke seeming to pool out of the mask. I stopped in place and held up my hands, trying to prove I meant no harm.
Just who is this guy?
"I said, who are you?" They demanded again, pointing the sword closer to my face.
"Alex. My name is Alex," I muttered quickly, eyeing the sword being directed at me. "Now can you put down the sword?" The guy in green stared at me, frowning.
"Thats not really your name, is it?" They said, eyeing me, and clearly not believing what I said. They then stepped closer, the tip of their sword now almost at my throat. I grumbled and muttered something underneath my breath.
"Fine. My name is Technoblade. Now can you please take the sword away from my throat." As I glared at them, I could see their eyes visablly widen and their grip on their sword falter.
"Technoblade," They murrmer, "As in the Technoblade?" I stare at them as their stance comepletely changes from guarded and stiff to anxious and exited. I raise an eyebrow out of curiosity as they lower and put away their sword.
Do I know this..person?
I lowered my hands to my side, no longer feeling threatened. I took this as a chance to look around more. I gaze around, looking mainly at the pillar the kid was kneeling at. At the base of it was a bucket of mortar and a trowel next to it, there was also a smaller bucket of plaster sitting ontop of a brick on the ground.
They're, trying to save the pillars. They're preserving this place..
"Why are you here..?" I began turning my gaze back toward the kid, but I then realised I didn't even know their name. The kid smiled, clearly knowing what I was about to ask and held out a gloved hand.
"Awesamdude, thats my name. But you can just call me Sam." He said, a happy tone in his voice. I nodded and shook his hand, wincing from the voices in my mind suddenly becoming way more than just small whispers.
"Well Sam, what are you doing here? This place was abandoned ages ago." I asked. Sam was silent, obviously not sure of an answer. They then turned their gaze to the surrounding land, all of it either in ruins, falling apart, destroyed, or just gone. Sam sighed and turned back to me, a sad look in their eyes.
"I don't want people to forget this place. It has so much history that's already being forgotten, and I don't want it to disappear." They said, a small smile audible in their voice.
But why here? Doesn't he know the horrid memories this place holds? The history here deserves to be forgotten.
I huffed and walked past Sam, aiming toward the middle of the once standing community house. As I shoved past, Sam frowned and followed behind me.
"Do you have an issue with preserving history Techno?" He asked, a scowl clear in his voice. I whip my head around to face him.
"Do I need to remind you what happened here Sam? Or do you think you can remember what happened by yourself?" I growled.
Does he seriously not remember what happened? Is he really that dumb?
"It doesn't matter what happened, only that it was important part of our history! People need to remember!" Sam insisted, spreading his arms to prove a point.
"History is important Technoblade, and you of all people should know that!" As Sam's gaze on me grew more intense, whisps of smoke seemed to spiril out of their mask. I glared at Sam, and as I did I could feel the blood rushing to my ears.
"Do I really need to remind you of what happened," I hissed. "How Dream blamed Tommy for blowing it up, leading to his exile? How Dream traumatized Ranboo by saying he did it? How Tommy took to Tubbos side and betrayed me, even after he fought Tubbo saying 'The disks were more than you every were' Do you remember that Sam?" By the end of it I could feel myself yelling at Sam and my fists clenching. Sam's eyes widened and they stood motionless in-between two pillars. We just stared at each other, neither one of us daring moving or saying anything. Finally Sam took up the courage to speak.
"Techno, I-I just.."
"Leave it. Do what you want, I don't give a crap." I snapped and turned to leave, but something caught my arm making my turn back. Sam had run over and grabbed my arm.
"Techno wait, can I ask a question?" They muttered, obviously nervous to ask. I sighed deeply and jerked my arm out of their grasp.
"Fine, just one."
"Why are you here? Like you said before, everyone left ages ago." My lips pressed into a thin line.
"If I'm going to be honest Sam, I was here to find answers to questions I've had for a while. But instead I've found something else." Sam cocked his head to a side.
"What did you find?"
"A reason to keep looking."
