L: Why did you start writing? Why do you continue to do it?

S: I’ve been writing for as long as I can think back on my recollection. It started with little jingle-ish poems for my parents that they embarrassingly like to remind me of too often.

Today writing is an outlet (weirdly as much as an inlet) to me, where I’m channeling and disgorging and basically unwinding.

L: How did you fall into the rabbit hole known as ARMY? What made you fall for BTS' charms, and in what ways do they inspire you?

S: I accidentally came across Agust-D a week after its release, sitting in my college library and was absolutely blown away! I started researching about the tiny fire-spitting rapper and came across BS&T. Not to be dramatic but I might have died and came back from musical heaven. Rest is, well, history.

L: Is English your native language? What struggles did you face writing in a foreign language?

S: English is not my first language, it is the second tho. I use it often in my daily conversations so I wouldn’t say I’m totally off track of it. It’s the Hindi to English thought-to-text translation that makes me buffer in thought ‘cause I’ll be chilling doing nothing and my mind would go, “ ’Omg, look at that model!’ translates to ’hey bhagwan, iss namoone ko dekho’ ?”

L: That's very interesting! At what point of planning do you write your stories?

S: Actually weirdly enough, I start planning a story with an ending in mind. Then I choose my trope and their basic characters. That’s all. I start writing with this much.

L: Do you have anyone who helps you with the process of writing or planning your stories?

S: Not really. Mostly I just judge for myself if I feel the writing vibing to me. Perhaps this is why I have my drafts flooding with things I’ve written that maybe some people would like but I didn’t post because it doesn’t tune with me; and then I will go ahead and post something that makes everyone go “tf was that?” (Logolepsy chapter 27; the responses make me crack up XD)

Once in a blue moon tho, I narrate a plot I have in mind to my mother and see how she responds.

L: Writing can be emotionally draining sometimes, how do you deal with the emotional impact?

S: Write a crackfic or listen to music in some solitude or turn the sentiments into a poem but mostly I just cry in a corner and pretend I’m all cool.

L: What's your favourite trope to write?

S: Age gap.

Besides that, I like when the stories are realistically relatable. By realistically I mean in terms of emotions. Namjoon could be the sexy vampire nonetheless.

L: What parts of writing are the hardest and easiest to you?

S: Easiest would be the dialogue-writing because talking crap is my forte.

Hardest part of writing is when the story starts to have a mind of its own. Trust me, it happens. The basic outline starts to totally take a divergence to somewhere you did not think your plot would go. It’s the most fun and non-fun part tbh.

L: Do you research for your fics? If so, what's one of the most surprising pieces of information you've stumbled upon?

S: I research A LOT. I’m almost a maniac when it comes to it, because literally nobody would ever notice. For example in a book of mine, Eyes Never Lie, which is written in the past, whenever I especially mention a brand or the name of a product, it is always researched to be launched around the year. Fun fact! Whatever car I write of Taehyung driving through the book, is actually the most luxurious/demanded car of that particular year mentioned.

While writing Buried Deep I reversed myself with the entire Victorian Era and the Celtic britons and what not. None of which was actually required, I was just looking for a word for the hat they wore back then T_T

L: What books or authors have inspired you?

S: I get inspired by little things everyday, even if it is a 3 tweet drabble, anyone who has the will to write and post inspires me (except the writing should be there own lol)

This server* of really cool authors that I’m in, is a lifesaver istg! (You would know ‘cuz you’re in it XD). There’s always something to come to. Just watching the academic-noose hung high schoolers or the 24X7 hustling moms still steal some time to write, read, share prompts and do things that make them happy is the boost I need.

L: Do you want to be a published author one day?

S: One can only wish 🤞

L: Which character from one of your stories resembles you most?

S: Jungkook and Taehyung from Eyes Never Lie are both me. One is an exaggerated derivative of my personal struggles and emotional troubles, other is the channeled inner me who just wants to be sarcastic and a bitch to the world.

L: If you could spend a day with one of your characters, who would it be and why?

S: Jin from The Theft! I love himmmm ):

L: And finally: If a couple from one of your books were on a wilderness survival show, which one would be pretty okay and which one would be Struggling™ ?

S: I think the answer to both is one.  Taehyung and Jungkook from Oblivious and in Denial would absolutely struggle and yet survive it the best because they’re compatible with each other so much, it overthrows the huge incompatibility with the situation.

I imagine them running around, collecting fish/meat and wood to prepare something bc Tae needs something to distract himself from the sheer fear of being jumped by a wild moose and, well, because Jungkook is always hungry.

I think of Taehyung cooking for them while he makes Jungkook fan him with a banana leaf like royalty because he cannot be bitten by the monster insects and trigger one of his 85 000 allergies.

When they try to sleep, they actually don’t because 1. it’s too hot and 2. there are twigs impinging on Jungkook’s back because taehyung is using his shirt as a bedsheet (there are ANTS in the MUD, hello?).
They’re chatting and laughing about nothing, singing and arguing; anything to overlook the rustling bushes and impending animal onslaught… until Jungkook is hungry again.

Did I mention this is their honeymoon?
Bc taehyung should’ve seen this coming when he asked Jungkook to plan whatever he’s always wanted to do, as a honeymoon trip.

So to avoid being divorced on day-4 of his marriage, Jungkook just holds his grin and cleans him up when Taehyung glares at him with bird poop on his forehead.

OMG I love the head canon for the last question. 😂 Jungkook, why would you choose this as your honeymoon? Taehyung, why would you give Jungkook full control to plan this?

I love their chemistry though, it makes the whole situation sound like something they'd eventually laugh over and something Taehyung would totally hold over Jungkook’s head.
