A Fresh Start

I entered the French Quarter and parked on the street in front of a bar named Rousseaus.  I decided to go in for a drink and grabbed my phone and keys. I walked up to the door, entered, and sat at the bar. A person stood in front of me from the other side of the bar, "Hey, what would you like to drink?" I said in a blur, "I'll have a glass of champagne, I'm celebrating." the mysterious bartender smiled, "Well, cheers to you!" they poured themselves a shot and clinked glasses with me. I looked at the name tag on their shirt, "Well, Camille, you're the first person that's made me feel welcomed here." She scoffed and smiled, "It's Cami, I still haven't gotten to changing this name tag." I grinned, "Cami, I think you and I are going to get along quite well." The rest of the night was a blur, except the part where I was walking along the dim streets and came across a coven of witches gathering a body, apparently the previous witches name was Jane Anne Deveraux, it's surprising how much information you can figure out when it comes to walking around the streets.  After they gathered around Jane Anne, the 'King' of the city, Marcel, stole the body, that's all I could remember since after that I passed out in my car.  The next morning I woke up and decided to walk around the street, I came across The Cauldron and saw witches every corner. I was walking and listening to music on my MP3 player until I bumped into someone wearing a suit and hit my head on a corner of a building, "Oh my god, I am so sorry, I'm a clutz." They looked at me, "No, it's my fault. Here let me help you." He grabbed a handkerchief out of his suit pocket and pressed it upon the dripping blood of my forehead, "Thank you. What is your name anyway?" He smiled, "I'm Elijah Mikaelson." I smiled, "So you're the apparent 'noble' Mikaelson?" He laughed, "You know of me?" I looked at him, "Of course I do, everyone in Mystic Falls does! Anywho, I'm Y/n." He looked at his phone where he got a call from a random number on his phone and said, "Oh sorry, I must take this, I'll see you around, Y/n." He ran off when I yelled, "You forgot your handkerchief!" followed by, "Forget it, he's already gone." I continued along on my walk when I felt hungry for blood, I went into one of the back alleyways when I saw some people talking I walked over and popped up from above them and drained them of blood. "Wow, what an approach to killing someone.." I heard a voice say from behind me. I shivered a bit and turned around, "I swear, if one more person tells me what to do in this bloody town I might kill each and every person here-" I locked eyes with the girl and noticed her beautiful blonde hair and sassy attitude, I saw my image in her. "Ooh, spooky. Unfortunately, I can't be killed, perks of being an original." she laughed. "Oh, so you must be-" I was cut off and then she replied, "Rebekah? Yes, the one and only." I smiled, "I could tell by your confidence and attitude." I told her scoffing. "How bitchy, I think we'll get along quite well." Rebekah smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. "So, Rebekah, care to go get a drink?" she replied quickly, "Yes, of course." We walked our way to Rousseaus and sat down at a table, "So, a funny thing life is, isn't it? I chose to come here all the way from bloody Mystic Falls because my almost fiancé cheated on me and decided to break up with me. He even turned me!" she looked shocked, "No way, he seems like a bloody dick!" Rebekah yelled. "I know right? His name was Stefan. He was cute at first, I met him in high school after he and my friend Elena broke up, but he was a total waste of my time!" She gasped, "Stefan Salvatore? He and I dated in the 1900's! He was my brother Klaus' best friend!" We both laughed. We talked for a while after that and eventually she took me to her house at the old governor's home, the plantation. We laughed and tripped as we walked up the driveway feeling drunk as hell. We entered the home and Elijah greeted us, "So, Y/n and Rebekah, I've noticed you two have met." we both smiled, "It's like we've known each other for an eternity." we both laughed. Rebekah walked me to a free bedroom and said I could stay there. As I set down my four suitcases I decided to take a shower in the large bathroom attached to my bedroom, I placed all of my clothes onto the bed and grabbed my bathrobe. I placed it around my tall, cold, body and walked over to the shower. I turned the shower to the hottest temperature and jumped in, I washed my body and hair and then sat in there processing everything that has been going on in my life recently, "What the fuck am I doing with my life?" I whispered to myself. I continued to wonder about where my life will end up after all of this shit. I heard a bang coming from downstairs, I grabbed my towel and wrapped my body in it. I walked down the beautiful stairs and entered the kitchen where everyone was gathered, "Now look what the cat dragged in!" Klaus smirked, "Hello to you too, Klaus." he smiled, "Hello, love. Looks like you're all settled in, how about you come and help me with something." I scoffed, "Sure, let me just get dressed, I suppose." I dragged myself upstairs and grabbed a henley top, a lace undershirt, and some jeans, and got dressed as quickly as I could. I walked into the bathroom to do my makeup as quickly as possible and then grabbed my earrings. As I put in my earrings, I walked out the bathroom door and saw Klaus sitting on the chair in front of my bed, looking at me. I smile, "I see there's no such thing as privacy in this home?" His smile grew wider as he looked from the tip of my head to my shoes, "I'm sorry, love. You're just a work of art." I blushed a bit and nodded as I followed Klaus to the car. I entered the car and he started driving. "So, love. Here's the plan, we break into the home that used to be mine and kill Marcel's little minions." I sigh, "Sounds great!" I spun my daylight ring around my finger and looked out the window as we arrived at Marcel's home. Klaus requested I go through the gate and kill as many people I can on the lower floor. I enter the home and see plenty of vampires scattered everywhere, I smiled. I ran up to a group of them and yanked out their hearts and ripped their heads off. I did that for a few minutes and once I heard Klaus yell my name, I was already done. I hear a laugh from the upper level, "Haha! And what do you suppose you're doing in my home?" I feel frozen, it was Marcel. He jumped down from the upper floor and inspected me, "A newcomer? In my town, killing my friends?" He scoffed, "You should be put in the garden for this, you don't even know my policy and still you step foot in my home?" I gulp and don't know what to say, I felt so horrified, the garden? My first day here and I'm almost dead. He smiles, "Since I'm generous, I'll let you go, this once. You have skill and you feel very protective and confident. I feel with the right training you could be a good friend of mine." I walked out of there confused, me? One of his little pets? No thank you. I walked along the streets, I knew Klaus got out of there, but I know it's best I get to know my surroundings. I walked along the streets and heard someone from behind me. I looked behind me, "Y/n, wait!" It was Cami, I smiled. "Hi, how are you?" She said, almost out of breath, "I've been looking for you, there's this guy, I think you know him, his name is Marcel, he asked me out and I was wondering if you want to help me pick out my outfit?" I grinned, she wanted me to help her, I felt so special, "Yes, I'd love to!" she smiled, "Really? Alright, let's go to my favorite shop." She has such a beautiful walk, she walks as if she has not a bad thought in her mind, I love her confidence. We walk into a clothing store, she picked a jean jacket and a dress to put under it. I adore her style. She looked at my outfit and frowned, "Are you bleeding? There's a lot of blood on your shirt!" I looked as if I've seen a ghost, she doesn't know about vampires, I can tell. "Oh, I just fell earlier, don't worry." She sighed, "Okay, good. I just wanted to make sure you're alright because it's just instinct because I major in psychology." I smiled, "Thanks for looking out for me, though." she nodded. We walked out of the store and we went our separate ways, "Call me and tell me how it goes, Cami!" I laughed, "Of course! Bye, Y/n!" I've known Cami for one day, and I love her, she's so loyal and strong. I can see it through her acts of generosity like how she smiles at everyone, how she speaks, and how she walks, she's amazing. I sigh as I walk home, "I'm going to like it here, I sure will." I whisper to myself.
