When I walk away from Amelia, I notice Conner walking toward her. I watch from afar as he talks to her, looking seemingly nervous. I get closer so I can hear what they're saying.
"Anyway, I came to ask you something I've been meaning to ask you for a long time. Amelia Wright, will you go out with me?" Conner says.
What. The. Actual. Fuck.
Please say no.
Say no.
Say no.
Say-
"Ok. I'd- I'd love that," Amelia says. A flash of jealousy spikes through me. I try to scream, but I can't. I can't talk. The shock of it is so much.
Quietly, I sneak into my car, then go home, crying the whole way. I can't do this. I just can't. Instead, I just cry myself to sleep, and hope tomorrow will be better.
....
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!
I punch the damn alarm clock to make it shut up. Sighing, I haul my ass out of bed, and get some clothes. More specifically, ones that will make Ammy realise what she's missing out on.
"You are a badass," I say quietly to myself.
I pull on my black boots, and faux leather jacket, and get out of the house. I'm just about to jump into my car when Charlie comes out. "Hey, Liv, wait up!"
I stick my head out of the car window. "What?"
"Can you give me a lift?"
I smile. "Sure. Where do you need to go?"
"Cammy's house." he says, fidgeting.
I smirk. "Why Cammy?'
"Why not Cammy?" he fires back.
"Fair point."
For the duration of the drive, we say nothing. Then Charlie says, "Hey Liv?"
"Yes?"
"I'm uh, going to trust you with something."
"Ok... "
"I think I'm Pansexual." he confesses.
I gasp. "Really! I'm so proud of you!" I say, then hug him. He smiles gratefully. "Thanks sis."
"If anyone shames you, come to me, and I swear, I will murder them in their sleep."
He laughs nervously. "Uh, ok."
I grin. "What? I'm you older sister. Also, this is your stop."
He hugs me. "Thanks,"
"Don't mention it!" I exclaim as I drive off. Well, seems this is actually gonna be a half decent day.
...Or not.
As I'm driving, I pass Conner. He winks at me. In response, I just roll my eyes at him. His smile quickly fades.
"Hey, Livia, what's your deal?" He asks, smirking.
"First of all, it's Livvy, and and second, what's up is that I'm not ok with you trying to date my best friend."
He gasps in mock seriousness. "Well, I'm going to try anyway. I don't care what you say."
"I know who you are, and what you do Conner. Leave her alone."
He raises an eyebrow. "What you mean?"
"I mean, there's something....off, about you."
"You know, I love your kindness."
"Shut up." I then proceed to give him the finger and drive off. I hear him scoff behind me.
I decide to ignore it.
