chapter 5

We already at home with a bag full new cloth. Its full with Jiu new cloth that she bring it alone with a carrot in her mouth. So before we go back to my apartment, we went to a market that because Jiu suddenly 'sniffing' the smell of carrot. I buy it like a half pound. I don't eat carrot that much, so Jiu will eat most of it. She just put the bag on the couch and went to the bedroom. She just like go in rush. I follow her and finding out the she change her cloth into the oversize t-shirt that I gave before. I sigh and she look at me.

"kinda heavy wearing shirt?" she shook her head and looks like thinking something. "hot" she just said that simple word that actually amaze me. Of course why not, she talk for the 1st time. I clap and come to her. I carry her and spin her around. "Jiu already said the 1st word" she squalling in happy and pat my shoulder to make me stop. I stop and still carry her to the kitchen. "I want to make a soup, you want to help?" she nodded and I put her down. I gave her a measuring cup and told her to fill it into 400 hundreds. She look to the glass and nodding. I look to her just in case if she messed up. In my surprise she didn't messed up. She focused to the glass and stop the water when it comes to 400. Her face suddenly a bit shook and I realize that she filled up more that 400, but not until 500. She came back with guilty face. I just pretend that I didn't saw it before and asking where is the water. She shook her head and keep the glass with her. "you filled it more that 400?" she nodded and ready to cry. I really want to laugh. I take the glass from her and hug her.

"you don't need to cry because that. It's a simple problem. Don't cry okay?" she nodded and do a tiny jump. I told her to pour the water to the pot and she did it. She seems like to cook. She even grab the knife to cut the carrot. But I don't want her to cut herself, so I take the knife from her. She pouting and decided to do the other else. And she sulking. Everything that I told her to do, she will sulking. I realise what happen, so I call her to cut the carrot. Her face lit up and came to me and grab the knife dangerously. Just like she ready to stab me. I scold her and teach the knife carefully. She look at me and did the exact thing that I do. I show her how to cut it carefully. She still struggle and whining at the end. I hold her hand from behind and help her to cut the carrot. I don't know what happen but my heart beat faster when I hold her hand. I even can feel that her heart beat too and it's faster than normal. I just let it slip and teach Jiu how to cut. She understand and nodded. She cut it so carefully. Once she done it, she call me by my name and she using D this time and looks like asking me what should she do with the cut carrot. I told her to put it in the pot.

she keep spooning the 'broth'. She show a strange face once I put a new things even just a salt or pepper or anything else. She will take a strange seasoning and try it before she ask me. Once she think she like it, she will put it in 1 tsp each. She taste it again and she will smile when she like the taste. "you can play with it, just don't put poison. And tell me when the carrot already tender" she nodded and keep her eye to the soup. She look so cute. I cut the scallion for garnishing and I cut my finger because I didn't focus. "ouch!" she look at me and take my hand. She don't know what to do so she suck the finger which is bleeding. I blush in her sudden action and I need an excuse so she can snatch out her lips. I remind her to the soup and she just rush away. I look around just to find some bandage. She call me because the carrot already tender, I told her to turn of the stove and she did it, effortlessly. I look to her disbelieve "what things that you can't do" she shook her head.

"lets eat?" she nodded and sit on the couch. She even pull the glass table closer to the couch and turn on the tv, like she is a normal human, not a bunny in human form. I bring the soup in a big dining pot with 2 small bowls aside, so if one of us want to take the soup again, we don't need to go to the kitchen. I bring a side dish as well, of course with uncooked carrot too. She looks happy. She slide to one side of the couch and pat the empty space next to her in signal to let me sit beside her. I put the food on the table and spooning some of the soup to her. She didn't eat it immediately, instead looking at me and waiting me to eat the food. And that time I understand, she want to know if I like her cook or not. I'm hesitantly eat it since the person who made this was a person who just randomly changer her form from bunny to human. I eat it and not I expect, it's damn good. "it's good" I keep eating because it's so good. I can't remember the last time I eat comfort food like this and this just bring me back to my memories. She smile and start eating to. She struggling while using the spoon but she did it at the end.
