Rhydian's POV:

Since my first day at school I have loved Maddy. Her intelligence and quick thinking never failed to impress me ,but now, my worst dreams have come true. She had to leave. She had to leave me.

I had asked her on a date, I planned it for hours on end with Shannon and Tom (they had been waiting for us to be 'officially dating' for ages now). I guess that was all a waste. Maddy now has to travel across the world as a wolf to escape Dr Whitewood.

Why did Whitewood have to screw up my life? Why did Liam have to go and explore those caves?

Maybe if they all wouldn't have been so nosey I would be able to go on an amazing date with Maddy. Man, I'm gonna miss her. She made me smile, she was my missing piece.

These thoughts all circled my head as we stood at the top of the cliff saying our goodbyes.

Tears pooling in my eyes.

'Bye Mads...' I gently whispered my words barely escaping my lips.

'Bye Rhydian.... I love you.' her voice clearing away all the thoughts dancing in my head.

I grabbed her waist, pulling her chest into mine and hugging her tightly. I lifted her chin up, and kissed her soft, pale lips. Her body was shaking, as tears flooded her face, soaking my shirt.

'I love you too,' I replied.

She gripped onto my shirt tightly,

'It will be ok, I will find you I promise.' I said softly in her ear.

As I pulled her in for one last hug. I never wanted it to end.

'I'll find you first,' her face squeezed out a smile. I laughed a sad, tearful laugh. Her body pulled away from mine. That's it. It's over.

Maddy's POV:

As I walked away, my heart ached. I had finally found a person who made my life whole and brought joy to my face, and I have to leave them.

I marched towards my mum and dad. I couldn't stop crying. Once I transformed, I turned around for one last glimpse of my childhood home, and the people who made me who I am, with one loud howl we hopped down the cliff and started our adventure.

I could feel the cold breeze of the autumn wind ruffling the fur on my back. There was something special about being a wolfblood. Something humans would never understand.
