Y/N's POV

I'd be lying if I said I slept alright, I haven't slept at all... I was now officially 15, my parents promised me a computer for my 15th birthday, and last year they gave me a guitar. I wanted a piano but we could only afford a beat up guitar but it was still good. My dad told me he got it off a yard sale at a house from a couple blocks away when he was on his way home from work.

My parents raised me to be grateful not the opposite but.. you can't really stir away from the fact that you'll always be jealous about what other kids have. Especially with the kids I go to school with, you just can't help but compare yourself from kids my age. It's only worse because I go to a private school.

Don't get me wrong I'm thankful I go to a private school and I got in because of a soccer scholarship, and my dad being the principals personal mechanic whenever he had car problems he'd always call on my dad.

I'm only going into my Sophomore year so what the fuck could go wrong right? Wrong.. Everybody at school are pretentious assholes, and entitled little shits. They constantly walk around acting as if they own the place, you would think they were nice people but no.. They were far from being humble, constantly talking about where they went during break, going up to the Hamptons, or the fucking alps or some shit.

The only rich people I actually tolerate here is my one and only friend, my teammate, and sister from another mister, Julia Montgomery. Not to brag but her family basically adores me more than their own daughter but Julia actually likes it, she says I'm like the sister she never had..

Speaking of Julia, she said she had a surprise for me today. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes for a brief moment. Breaking my staring contest with my poster covered ceiling, I sat up on my bed but just as I was about to get out of bed. My door flew open (I'm surprised it didn't come off its hinges) only to reveal my dysfunctional family screaming, "Happy birthday!!" My mother was the one holding the cake with visible evidence of flour in her hair, my father had this whistle that was annoying as hell since he kept blowing it...

Not like that but sure he is a progressive father...

My Brother on the other hand was just as dysfunctional as the other two. We were really close when we were younger, and I guess we really hadn't grown apart. He was in charge of the fucking confetti, which got caught on everything.. And I mean everything my head, face, bed, desk, my shelves, even my fucking fan.

They maybe dysfunctional but they were mine, and it's safe to say I was a little dysfunctional as well. The three of them walked closer and just as my mom was about to speak an aggressive knock came from my window, which surprised my family but not me since I was used to it. I opened up my blinds and saw Julia's frustrated face. I chuckled before Opening my window for her to climb in. "Why didn't y'all wait for me?" She asked in disbelief facing my family, who still looked at her surprised.

"Your ass took too long to get here!" My brother Turbo said, "Turbo Bodie Sinclair, Language please" My father scolded him, "But yes you did take too long" My father told Julia. "Julia dear you do know we have a front door and backdoor right?" My mother told her, but Julia replied with a proud smile, "Now where's the fun in that Mrs. S?"

I smiled at their banter before finally making my presence known by clearing my throat, "Ehem? the main character today would like to be included please" I said in a duh tone finally catching everyone's attention. "Happy birthday!" They again screamed in unison, making me laugh. My mom shoved the cake into my fathers hands before peppering me with kisses, "Oh god you're Fifteen, I still remember when you were a baby such a droolsome baby" My mom said as she actually started crying while cradling my head into her chest.
