I never thought things would go that bad for me, I was succesful... Graduated from university and was about to apply for my dream job. It was so sudden, the only people who cared about me and loved me vanished at one single moment. I want to blame myself for all of that, but at the same time I did not have the capability to prevent something like that.

It was a perfect day, I woke up in a great mood, my parents were ready to drop me off at my company's HQ, when we were 17 minutes away from reaching it a large truck crossed our path, I could feel that something was wrong with it... It looked perfectly fine and functional but I had a strong feeling that it will just fall over.

My dad decided to try overtaking it but something unpredictable happened, the truck's front tiers exploded and it fell over, there was a car speeding behind us and it hit the back of the car and crushed the front if the car entirely along with my parents at the front. I somehow survived with barely any scratch on me.

My parents are dead, I dont have any relatives, I don't have any friends, not even a pet. I don't see a reson for me to live anymore, I don't know why was I born even, I don't know what to do... I want to end it.

Standing on bridge's edge, thinking of good times I spent with my parents... "Mom's apple pie would be a great mood boost right now, wouldn't it?" - I thought to myself while I slowly started burst in tears. Full of desperation and hopelessness I fell forward wondering if I would wake up in heaven or hell, or maybe there is no afterlife at all? And I hit the water beneath the bridge... That felt like falling on plain asphalt, everything went black.

I don't know how much time passed but I woke up in some laboratory I never saw in my life, I was in a comfy hospital bed. A man walked up to my powerless body and asked: "Do you want me to give you a new reason to live? " - he said with calm and friendly voice. I didn't have much to loose nor I have no regrets. Without having any strength to speak I nodded with my head, in response I heard: "Alright, you'll aid this research facility and maybe even save the mankind from a worldwide pandemic" . I was wondering what he meant by all of that, but I sure will find out soon, that made me feel excited and quite happy again. The man in the lab coat left and came back with some some purple night vision goggles, he strapped them onto my head and told me: "Close your eyes and rest for now, once you wake up we'll tell you everything." I gladly fell asleep and slowly felt all of my pain going away.
