SOL Chapter 1

  The skinny framed girl slugged through the streets, her body shivering as the fierce wind billowed. She dropped to her knees, unable to even stand from starvation. The passers by barely glanced at her as they hurried off to see something the girl didn't have. A family. As her eyes dropped close, a shadow overcame her and she lifted her head, catching a sight of blue hair before everything became dark.

    Ciel stepped forward, analyzing the girl with his cold eye. Usually he would not notice a homeless person on the streets, but something in that girl struck him. Maybe it was the same shade of hair they shared. Maybe it was the pain and loneliness in her eyes that resembled him. Maybe it was the simple fact that she was a girl. Who knows? Nevertheless, he ordered his butler to take her to the Phantomhive mansion. That day, Hikari Kage became the Phantomhive maid.

    I woke up, but still left my eyes closed. When did the floor become so soft. So squishy.

Makes me want to eat it.  

Somebody cleared their throat and my eyes snapped open, immediately bolting up in panic. A black haired male towered over me, a smirk on his perfect masculine face. Wait what did I just say. What the hell?! STUPID HORMONES.

   "My master has taken you in. You are now the Phantomhive maid." He gave a closed eye smile. I gaped at his deep voice, automatically growling for thinking that. 

"Excuse me?" He said, looking quite offended. "Oh um I was growling at uh.....my..self..?" He looked at me weirdly. My eyes widened when his words sank in. Phantomhive? Like the company that makes toys and sweets? I stared at him incredulously.

"Your clothes are on that table. I'll wait for you outside." Without any explanation, he left. I sat there numbly. ".............................Heh?"

I got out of the bed, and stared in disgust at the maid clothes prepared for me (Something like the ones worn in maid cafe) although I should be thankful that I had proper clothes. I paced around in the room, wondering if I should wear them or go out and risk having a conversation, most probably embarrasing myself. I groaned and decided there was nothing to lose. I opened the door, peeking my head out.

He looked at me confused as why I haven't worn the clothes yet.

"Hi! Uh do you have any uh not ..feminine clothes?" I grimaced at how that came out.

"Sure?" He left and came back moments later, with a white outfit in his hands (the one in the pic) and passed it to me. I thanked him and hurried to get changed. I looked surprisingly good in it, considering that I was a 12 year old. I came out and the guy who I still don't know his name nodded approvingly.

"Ah, how rude of me. My name is Sebastian Michaelis, butler to the Phantomhive mansion. May I have the courtesy to know yours?" He said smoothly.
"Im Hikari Kage, 12 years old."

"Very well. I shall take you to my master, Ciel Phantomhive, then bring you around. Follow me." He instructed. He led me through different corridors and I wondered if he really knew where he was going. Finally stopping at a door, he knocked and opened the door, ushering me inside. A boy was signing papers and looked up when he heard the door open. I shuffled towards him and bowed slightly.
He nodded, and spoke
    "Follow my butler around. He will teach you what you need to know. You are dismissed. Sebastian, stay." I nodded, putting my hand over my heart. "Hai," Closing the door after I left.
  Third person p.o.v
   "Not to question your descision, my lord, but why would you want her to be around us? She might find out that im a demon." Ciel stood and went to look outside the window.
   "She is not mortal. You know that, don't you?" Sebastian's eyes glowed red and he smirked.
   "Find out what she is." He ordered. The butler knelt down in front of him.
   "Yes, my lord."
