The next sabbat this year is Beltane, also know as Roodmas or May Day, but all in all, it's on the thirtieth of April/first of May and it represents the Celtic start of summer and end of winter. Her are a few pointers on what you could do:
~ remember it's the Celtic tree month of willow so you might want to do something related to that tree, or carve a wand out of willow
~ you may choose to spend the night in the woods like in Celtic times or just celebrate with a feast and a ritual. It's completely your choice
~ the name translates to fire of Bel, Belinos being a name for the Sun god, so maybe you'd like to hold a bonfire in honour
~ Beltane marks the return of vitality and passion. Men and women alike word would decorate their bodies, but traditionally, women would braid flowers into their hair.
~ an early morning walk through a local park or forest would be great, and maybe you could even weave some plants to decorate your home
~ to celebrate the time at which the god and goddess unite you might want to make a wedding feast. Bread and cereals are always great, plus you could maybe try oatmeal cakes or cookies sweetened with a dab of honey, just choose something that you're sure to enjoy!
Hope this helped those of you who don't know what to do, I hope you have a great Beltane and blessed be! )O(
