maybe you were expecting a master list, but there is a far better way to get rid of said than replacing it with words like 'raged' and 'gushed'.

cut dialogue tags all together.

okay, maybe not all the time. occasionally, said can be used to keep the flow without interruption, but dialog tags can be removed if action pointers are used. for example:

Lia clenched her fists tightly by her sides, pinching her nails into the soft skin of her palms. "You may think that sitting back and doing nothing is the best way to survive, but it's not."

"And you think joining the rebel group is?" Brandon let out a cold laugh. "You're more delusional than I thought."

"We cannot face the king's army alone." Lia slammed her fist onto the wooden table between them, sending vibrations up her arm. "They will come for us sooner or later. Do not be naive."

see? no 'said', just contextual action. it's a good use of 'show don't tell'. here we are showing the reader how the words are being said, rather than telling them.

when it says that lia slammed her fist onto the table, instead of using the word raged, or spat; it's telling us she's already angry from reading her body language.
