I put an illusion magic device in my room as I escape out of my window. I then walk to the Grom tree that Luz helped me make into a tree house and a secret base simultaneously. I put my bag full of supplies in the base as I waited until night to visit the graveyard. Once it became night, I knew it was time to strike as I quickly made my way to the graveyard in a white hooded cloak. Once I arrived, I made my way to Luz's grave.
Once I arrived, I noticed how it had more flowers than most and seemed to be the nicest gravestone. I take out my shovel as I start digging. After a while, I finally reach Luz's casket and open it to reveal Luz. She was wearing the nicest suit I have ever seen and she looked like she was peacefully sleeping, the same smile still on her face. I lift her body as I started to carry her.
As I get up, I accidentally make eye contact with Willow, who was bringing more flowers to Luz's grave. Luckily, I prepared for this, I was wearing a cat mask as it hid my identity. She looked to me, shock in her eyes and I quickly started taking off. I made my way back to the tree as I looked around, no one followed me. I climbed up, lifting Luz alongside me. Once I arrived, I put Luz's body on the table that was hanging by strong chains.
I started cutting open limbs and body parts to put abomination goo to keep it together and able to move, each time I cut even a nick of skin, I felt guilty and as if I was hurting her. After I put all the abomination goo in all of her body, I stitched them all back up as I tried to mentally prepare myself as I knew I'd have to take her brain and heart out. I cut open an area to be able to take the heart out and input a new one. The brain situation was harder, I had to cut through skin then a skull. After a while, I was able to.
I know that before I should test out the brain, I'd have to provide the heart. I input an electrical heart, but all Luz's body did was shake violently. I tried thirteen other hearts and none of them worked besides a heart that ran on steam which caused the body to breathe. To make a functioning body, I'll have to combine both hearts, making it a rechargeable body for movement with a steam heart for main functions. I put a large rechargeable battery on her spine that I made to only be recharged by my special charging station that I created.
I put the steam heart where a normal heart would be which I connected to every limb, functions, and brain by plastic tubes that would pump electric liquids that also came from the battery, but the steam heart would help with pumping it through the body and breathing. After I finished, I stitched the chest cavities closed. I input a computer chip into a bronze brain shaped shell that I sealed shut and put into Luz's head. I had to put her skull back together with screws and when I finished, I stitched what was on top of the cut off skull back onto her head. After I finished, I dragged Luz's body to the charging station.
After much consideration of staying up the whole night, I decided against it, due to wanting to explain to Luz her new situation and not be super tired. I walk over to my bed as I fall asleep after half an hour. The next morning, before I even think of waking up, I hear something falling off which forces me awake. The moment of truth... I quickly walked over to where I left Luz to see her have a look of confusion and curiosity.
"Luz, you're here... How are you feeling?" She quickly backed away. Her eyes... There's a look of confusion and curiosity along with...
Fear...? "Luz, it's me, Amity... You remember me, right..?" She slowly came closer to me as she tilted her head, similarly to a dog when confused. No...
No... No! I grit my teeth as I realized that I, in fact, didn't bring back Luz at all, but rather a creature who stole Luz's body. I go to grab another invention of mine, Incendiary Acid, an acid that utilizes fire magic and acid to melt through most anything, the kryptonite to this creature, even if it has large quantities of Incendiary Acid in it's body, but once douched in even larger quantities of Incendiary Acid, it melts away like ice cream. But, a single thought stops me.
It looks too much like Luz for me to be able to put an end to without... I shake my head as I put a small bottle of Incendiary Acid in my lab coat's pocket. I walk over to the creature as I bend down to it's level. "So, Luz, your memory appears to be a bit foggy. Don't worry, I'll help you regain it and you'll be back to your old self."
The creature nods at me, still confused and curious. This might actually work... Maybe Luz's memory is actually foggy and I need to help her with it... With those thoughts, hope was restored in me. I quickly grabbed Luz's notebook which I used to write down results and such of this project, but Luz had written down her glyphs in this.
I decided to do the light glyph first as I grabbed a light up pen and papers as I drew the light glyph as an example. After I finished, I handed it to the creature to repeat which it did, amazingly well might I add. I tapped my glyph and it turned into a ball of light. The creature imitated my action as it's glyph also turned into a ball of light. I smiled at this, memories coming back of when Luz first showed me her version of doing magic.
I pet the creature similarly to a dog as it let out a noise of satisfaction. I pull out a rainbow bandana as I wrap it around the creature's neck to be able to identify it from Luz if I ever decide to finally put it down. It puts it's head near my hand, presumably asking for me to pet it more. I do as it asked and continue petting it. It let out another sound of satisfaction.
I continue petting it until I went up and grabbed a pet bowl full of nuts and bolts as the creature quickly started chewing, biting, and swallowing them out of hunger. I smiled out of proudness of the strengthened teeth that I gave this creature. I made the right call with those strengthened teeth that can chew metal.
This plan might work out after all.
