You liked the new case because it didn't have anyone dead. True, scams may not have anything to do with blood, but it was just as hard to crack if the company behind it had rich lawyers.

"I found some loopholes in the contract," you said, dropping the files on Spencer's desk. "If it's true, they could be laundering money."

"How did you find that?" Derek asked, amazing.

"They're in fine print," Spencer interrupted, looking a bit impressed himself.

"Ah, like you," you nodded. He just seemed confused. "Fine like you, get it? Oh for god's sake, nevermind."

Rolling your eyes, you grabbed the file and proceeded to Hotch's office. Derek was laughing and soon Garcia joined in.

"What?' Spencer asked, still confused.

"She was flirting with you," Garcia explained, as if it was obvious. "She's always flirting with you but you never notice."

Spencer gasped. "That is not true. We have a mostly professional relationship—"

"Mostly?"

"I mean, she did text me once to stop by her house at 3 am—"

"NO," Derek stood up, covering his ears. "Too much information, buddy. Too much information."

He walked away, but Garcia looked just as interested as before. "What did you say?"

"I'll show you," Spencer took out his phone, scrolling up the chat to get where he wanted to. Garcia looked from over his shoulders.

Y/N: if you can't sleep, you can come over.

Spence: Why?

Y/N: could watch a movie or any other usual reasons :)

Spence: What other reasons?

Y/N: take a guess.

Spence: You're going to kill me.

"She hasn't replied to me since, so I hardly doubt she likes me," he concluded, putting the phone back in his pocket. Garcia patted his shoulders with a heavy sigh.

"You're clueless," she muttered sympathetically, amused all the while.
