At first, all I could see when I entered the cafe was a pair of green eyes and tousled blonde hair with blue streaks. Within a few moments they grew attached to a gentle, yet rugged face. I couldn't help but notice the tension between us and the butterflies in my stomach began to intensify.

"Hi." Michael finally forced.

"Hey, shouldn't we sit down?" I say, awkwardly walking over to a booth.

"Hello, my name is Jessa, what would you cuties like?"

I mentally gag at her words and quickly skim through the menu. "I'll have the chai tea latte, please."

"Jessa, I would like a chocolate croissant, thank you darling." I almost gagged a second time at his use of words.

"I'm just gonna come right out and say it. I was rude to you at the meet and greet because I was intimidated by your tallness. I swear, you are like a breadstick from Pizza Hut. I also for some reason didn't know how to act, so it was my first instinct to be mean." Michael quickly grabs a napkin, scribbles a smiley face on it, and writes 'forgive me'?

"Fine, but since you were a dickhead, you have to pay the bill. Also, please never compare me to a breadstick again if you want to be on my good side." He nods, and a satisfactory smile appears on his lips.

"But please ignore my old messages I sent to you. I was a sad, horny teenage boy. IGNORE THEM MICHAEL."

"Sorry luke, it's too late for that." He takes out his phone and begins reading them out loud.

"No, they are so embarrassing!" I plead with him.

"Damn, in most of them you called me a shithead, i guess that seems about right though." He laughs at himself and continues to scroll through.

"Okay you had your fun, but it's getting late and my flight leaves at 6:00 am tomorrow." I stand up and adjust my jacket.

"Don't leave, you're really nice company, it gets lonely being on tour." Now he's the one pleading with me.

"It's not like I can stay here forever, and anyway you'll be coming back to sydney soon right? That's where I live, we could hang out then."

"Okay luke, these plans better not fall through! I'm gonna message you 24/7." He awkwardly 'bro hugs' me and my insides melt.

"Bye." I say, almost inaudibly.

"Peace out homie." Michael holds up a peace sign and turns to walk out.
