I slowly closed the small gap between me and Sam and kissed him softly. His hands cupped my face and my heart beat feels like if it gets any faster it wil explode. "Woah sorry to inturupt!" Tyler gasps and me and Sam both pull away blushing like crazy. "Tyler what are you doing in here this late?" I clear my throat and help Sam up. "Seriously Ally you didn't see Midnight was gone? I took Midnight for a ride." He rolls his eyes.
"Oh well uhm pffft of course I noticed that." I say but Tyler rolls his eyes again. "Uh huh so are you two uhm..." He asks but I quickly cut him off. "No no we're not." I say and walk out ignoring Sam calling after me. I can't believe I kissed him he has to leave when Summer is over there's no point in getting involved with him it will just end up in a disaster. I walk into the house letting Chip in with me and run up to my room quietly and get into bed.
After two days I've already kissed him. I am a retard. I try pushig my thoughts aside but can't seem to do it and only get about an hour of sleep. My alarm clock goes off and Sam walks in. "Al-" "Don't Sam please." I say rubbing my eyes I have a horrible headache from being up almost all night. "Look I know we can't do this and I don't want it to be awkward between us. So how about we just be friends?" He asks sitting on the edge of my bed.
I sigh and nod my head. "Alright, friends." I smile and he hugs me. "Now get up lazy bum we've got a long day ahead of us." He laughs and runs out I roll my eyes and get up slowly still really tired and get dressed and fix my hair leaving it down today. I walk downstairs and I'm lifted in the air over someone's shoulder so I'm hanging upside down.
"Woah put me down!" I shriek trying to wiggle out of their arms. "Calm down Alex." My dad chuckles. "Never!" I laugh and finally get out of his grasp and fall to the ground. "Where is Sam?" I ask standing up. "He's outside with Tyler." My dad says and hands me my hat. "Thanks dad see you later." I smile and run out.
The lights are on in the barn so I run over there but stop when I hear Sam talking to Tyler. "Yeah she's really cute and everything but it won't work out." Sam says and I stand up against the wall to where they can't see me. "But you liked the kiss right?" Tyler asks and I roll my eyes. He's so nosy. "Uh well it was ok." Sam says and I walk in acting like I heard nothing. "Hey guys whatchya talking about?" I smile. If Sam can play it off a nothing so can I.
"Oh nothing really." Sam shrugs throwing a hay bale over with the rest of them. "Well I'm going to help dad fix the tractor." Tyler says and walks out. "So what are we doing today?" I ask Sam. "We are practicing for that dance tomorrow." He says holding out his hand to me. I sigh and take his hand and we start dancing. "Your getting better." I say watching our feet. "Thank you." He says and I look up at him and smile.
"What?" He asks. "Nothing. What I can't smile?" I raise an eyebrow at him and he laughs. "You smiled when you looked at me." He says and I smirk. "Because you have something on your nose." I say and he crosses his eyes. "What?" He asks making me giggle. "Here I'll get it." I reach up and wipe the dirt smudge off his nose. He reaches up and grabs my hand and holds it and we just stand there for a minute until I clear my throat.
"You know what I'm really not feeling good right now I think I'm gonna go lay down." I say and it's not really a lie my head still hurts from not getting any sleep last night. "Alright feel better soon Al." He smiles. "Stop calling me that." I warn. "Not gonna happen." He winks and I roll my eyes and walk out back to the house. "Hey Alexis what are you doing back in so early?" My mom asks walking up to me. "I don't feel good so I'm gonna go lay down." I explain and she nods.
I walk upstairs into my room and lay down and fall asleep insantly. I wake up and look at the clock. I've been asleep all day wow. I sit up and see Sam standing in my doorway. "How long have you been standing there stalker?" I ask. "Just long enough to hear you snore." He winks and sits next to me on my bed. "I don't snore." I pout and he chuckles.
"Oh yes you do, but it's not a bad snore." He smiles wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "So how are you feeling?" He asks giving my shoulders a tight squeeze. "Better." I sigh laying my head on his shoulder. "Do you want some soup?" He asks and before he can stop me I jump off the bed and run downstairs into the kitchen and jump on the counter.
Sam walks in and gives me a confused look. "There you are cupcake! What took you so long?" I smile. "I'm guessing you really love soup." He chuckles. "It's ok I just haven't really eaten that much today and I'm starving so get to cooking good looking." I say pushing him tworads the pantry. "Did you just call me good looking?" He winks and gets everything ready. "It was the only thing that ryhmed with cooking." I shrug trying to play it cool but I'm blushing bright red.
"Uh huh surrrre." He smirks and starts cooking the soup and he jumps up onto the counter next to me. I roll my eyes and punch his arm. "You did not just punch me." He gasps snapping his fingers. "Oh yes I did what are you going to do about it city boy?" I smirk and he wraps his arm around my neck putting me in a headlock. "Oh I'll show you." He laughs giving me a noogie. "Stop Sam!!!" I giggle trying to get out of his arms.
"Never!!!!" He laughs holding me even tighter. We both stop hearing my dad clear his throat. "Oh hey dad." I smile and elbow Sam in the rib making him let go. "Are you two getting along?" He asks me. "Yeah I think so." I admit and Sam wraps his arm around my shoulder. "That's good now you two need to give Chip a bath for me." I groan and roll my eyes. "Dad Chip listens to me with everything but with baths it's a whole other story."
"You'll have to get over it Alex he needs a bath." My dad says and I sigh and nod and me and Sam walk out to the barn. "This is not going to be easy." I sigh.
