Two is perfect, one is not,
Without love, he will rot,
She is his other half,
His saving will be her laugh,
After those many years without love,
He will be sent an Angel from above,
Fate has written it in the stars,
No longer will his soul be locked behind bars.

She sees him at the ball. Her rival, the son of the king of Daithon. The music swelled up and people started dancing with each other. Everyone was distracted except Catelynn. She had her eyes on her enemy who was standing on the other side of the ballroom. Like Catelynn, he wasn't distracted either. His eyes scanned the ballroom. At one point they fell on her. He began to grin and she wondered why, when suddenly arrows flew through the room and chaos broke out. With her eyes still on him, they looked at each other. He started running towards her. So she ran away, out of the castle. She kept running until she reached the far end of the cliff the castle was built on. The sun shone on the water that flowed at the bottom of the cliff. She slowed down and thought about jumping off the cliff. The chances of her surviving that would be greater than if she didn't, because the water was deep enough to absorb a deep splash.
"Don't you dare!" shouted a man's voice behind her.
Without further hesitation, she jumped off the cliff. When she fell into the water she swam up as fast as she could. She saw a cave, quickly climbed out of the water and ran into the cave. A few minutes later, she heard running footsteps echoing in the cave. She crept into a dark corner as the footsteps came very close. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes into hours. She was still sitting very still in a corner of the cave, shivering from the cold and her soaking wet dress.

"Catelynn!" she was startled by the voice that echoed through the cavern.
"Catelyn! Where are you?" she heard her parents yell. Hearing her parents' voice, she jumped up and ran to the top of the cave where the voices came from. The light burned in her eyes after all those hours in a cave, but what she saw was not what she expected. Her parents were handcuffed and put on their knees. He stood behind her parents. The man at the ball. Her enemy. He was responsible for this. She grabbed her dagger that her parents had given her. She had hidden in her skirt, she grabbed it and ran towards him, but not fast enough because he realized it. When she came to him he suddenly became a shadow and she fell through him into the water. She quickly climbed back to the side and kept her dagger ready.
"Let them go!" she called to the man who was now almost back in the cave.
"Only if you come with me." He replied calmly.
"Catelynn don't do it, don't go with him!" her mother cried desperately, but ignored her.
"Why should I go with you?" she asked.
