History: Monquez been a wrestling fan since he was a young boy. He tried to make it to every event with his mother until her death when he was 8,. After her death he was sent to live with his father in Las Vegas, who he rarely seen due to his job, causing him to grow up quickly. He graduated from a local high school at 18 with a 4.0. Once he graduated, he was recruited by TNA and had a feud with Aj Styles for a few months winning the Impact champion 2 times. He later will go on to NJPW where he started a vicious feud with Paragon Jay Pierce becoming IWGP Untied States Champion. He would go on winning it 3 more time and winning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion 3 times. At age 23, he took a few months off to head to Las Vegas for his father funeral. After his time off ,he return to NJPW. Once his contact was up, he was contacted by Triple H, who got his number from Aj Styles who he keep in contact with after he left NJPW, with a WWE contact.
