"Wait up guys!" I yelled.
"C'mon Ellen, hurry up!" Hannah yelled. Fiona and Pi laughed at the same time while racing each other trying to get to school. I, however, chased behind them struggling to keep up.

We eventually reached the school, I was last of course. We all walked to class, panting breathlessly, and sat down in our regular seats. I let out a relaxing sigh as I stared dreamily out the window.

During class, or any of my free time at that, I would drift off into a daydream of a place my imagination had created. Everyone was happy there, no one was ever sad, everything was perfect there.

But there was always something about it, it was too perfect...There was something dark about it but I couldn't place my finger on i-
"Ellen!" Mr. Johnson yelled.
"Y-Yes sir?" I said snapping out of my daydreams.
"What is the answer to 12a+31b-6a+91a-2b+101b?" He asked. I opened my mouth to speak but, thankfully, the bell beat me to it.
"You are excused." Mr. Johnson sighed.

We all walked out of the classroom and went our separate ways. I walked out to the front of the school and sat down on a stray bench beneath a large oak tree. The gentle wind provided a Luke warm temperature so I calmly pulled out a book called 'Time Will Take it's Own Path' and began to read it.

I heard a loud ringing noise which pulled me from my daze. I quickly got up and began to walk to my next class, my only friend in this class was Hannah. I sat down in my seat beside Hannah and said a quick 'Hey!'

I was handed my jotter and began to draw my world, Ellen's world, not listening to whatever the teacher had to say. I was pulled out of my trance when a large clenched up fist came into contact with my desk.

"Miss Hayes, kindly pay attention so I do not have to waste time repeating myself!" Miss Crossby shouted, it's not really a surprise that she isn't married to be honest.
"Y-Yes M-M-Miss" I murmured as she began to walk away..."Miss crossbag..." I whispered. Hannah had heard me and gave a muffled chuckle.

About half an hour later the ground began to shake slightly. A teacher burst through the door and began to yell, "Earthquake, get under your desks quickly!" We all did as we were told and quickly got underneath our desks, the two teachers managed to fit under Miss Crossby's desk.

Some children began to scream as a crack appeared on the ground quickly making its way towards Hannah and I. I was to terrified to scream, my eyes were wide open as screams filled the room.

The crack slowly circled me and Hannah as tears streamed down both of our eyes at a extremely fast rate. I quickly noticed this and grabbed Hannah's hand and trying to bolt out of the circle, but I was too late. The ground below us had crumbled.

My eyes had widened as instead of hitting the floor below us we began to fall into a never ending black abyss. I looked up at the hole in the floor that was now high above us getting smaller as we continued to fall.

The crack began to close up to my surprise. Hannah's grip had tightened but it was no use, grab it had forced out hands to separate as we fell deeper and deeper into the never-ending abyss.

I screamed at the top of my lungs making my throat feel like a crispy dry swollen mess. I was to scared to care about anything else, I just wanted to be back home, with my mother and father. Would I ever see my family again? Where was I going to land? Was I going to land?

I closed my eyes begging for it to stop and felt myself slowly drifting off into a sort of, sleepy, trance state.

My arm gently flopped off of my chest onto what felt similar to grass. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking away the sleep from my eyes, and looked about my surroundings.

I sat up to see that I was in a large fresh green field with daisies scattered around me. I began rubbing the bridge of my nose groaning in pain. My memories began flooding back and a bolted to stand up.
"Hannah?!" I yelled "Hannah, where are you?!" There was no reply.

I decided I couldn't just sit here and do nothing so I began to walk about in search of, well, anything really. I began walking across the field when I stumbled upon a path, considering that it was a path, I chose to follow it and see where it may lead me, after all, what did I have to lose?
