It's just another day at Vermont High and things are getting pretty tense. There are 'VOTE FOR CHARLOTTE' signs all over the school. Even on Principal Evan's door.
"Char, you're totes going to win," said her BFFUD (Best Friend Forever Until Death), Laurel.
"Naw. You know, I'm not THAT popular!" Charlotte said as she gave Laurel a wink.
"You know, you might win Laur."
"Are you kidding me?! Everybody thinks I'm a freak!"
"Hon, just relax and we'll see what happens."
Charlotte and Laurel walked down the corridor interlocking their arms. They were nervous about who the winner might be for student senate. Both Laurel and Charlotte gave incredible speeches; although most of the student body payed more attention to Charlotte's speech. Charlotte and Laurel were walking to the auditorium, where the announcing of the student senate was going to be held. They reached the door and took a deep breath.
"Char, remember; we'll be proud of whoever wins between us." Laurel said, holding out her pinky finger.
Charlotte locked her pinky finger into Laurel's and said," I promise. We shoudn't let this silly little thing get between you and me."
And with that, the announcements began.
Principal Evan was on the podium, looking anxious that the 'ceremony' was almost over.
"And last but not the least, the president for this school year's student senate is..."
