Chapter 14 : Necromancy

Kas continued leading the three into the mage city, it was made of rich materials, like quartz and gold and magical lights, Aaron was amazed, he only lived in a small village and he never saw anything like this. But Alkor, Sara and Kas seemed unamazed, for their whole life they had lived in rich cities like these.

Alkor found something very familiar to his memory, The Staff Of Necromancy, which can make dead demons come back to life. He looked at Kas Keadin and asked, "Is that a—?"

Kas Keadin replied calmly, "Yes, it is a Necromancer Staff, we will use the dead bodies of demons and train using them. It was used vastly before Darklas came."

Aaron and Sara were amazed, but Aaron asked first, mesmerised by the staff's design, "How does it work, Mr. Keadin?"

Kas Keadin replied calmly, "When you tap it on dead bones, it will turn into a corrupted version of itself, controlled by the one who took the staff. Unfortunately, it might alert necromancers nearby and they will come here, but necroamncers are not quite active so there are nothing to be scared of."

Aaron was amazed, he had never seen anything like this from his life in a small village, Kas Keadin told Aaron while picking up one of the various staffs, "Let's go, the bones are inside."

They all followed Kas Keadin inside a red building and he took some bones of demons from a dark orange box. Tapping it with the necromancing staff, the demons came back to life, Kas Keadin told them, "Now, you try doing it."

Aaron started taking a staff and tapped it on a bone, making some demons come back to life, but they were not in the control of Aaron, but in control of Darklas. Kas Keadin's demons attacked the other uncontrolled demons but they fell into the evil influence of Darklas.

Alkor shouted, very desperate, "We must go! The demons are going to kill us!"

Kas Keadin shouted, less desperate than Alkor, "Alkor is right, we must lead them to the forests and corner them with the royal guard and destroy them in the woods, away from the villagers."

Sara told them while running away from them, "I will go to King Beowulf and ask him to send the royal guard!"

Aaron shouted back, "Good, Sara. We need them here as soon as possible."

Sara rushed into the castle, not giving a care about anything and told King Beowulf when she finally went into the throne room, "King Beowulf, we need the royal guard, there are demons on the loose."

King Beowulf didn't even ponder and rushed out of the room with Sara and told the royal guards, "Let's go, Lady Smiere of Dalydia will lead the way."

Meanwhile, Aaron, Alkor and Kas were in the woods, rushing from the evil undead demons. Suddenly, there were some taller men leading the demons, they wore a white skull mask and a dark coat. They had a purple and orange staff, larger than the normal necromancy staffs, one of them shouted, "Vix!" A spark went into the air, it was purple and black, and it seemed to alert sometime to come. A tall dark man with a face so pale came from the shadows and asked in a dark voice, "Why have you alerted me, Antrix?"

A necromancer named Antrix replied, "Kas Keadin, the farm boy and a Druid is here. The Princess should be near."

While Darklas was laughing, King Beowulf with his army, led by Sara, shouted, "You will never go into my kingdom again! Attack!"

The army attacked the necromancers, they retreated into a volcano near by, but they have never gone. And Kas wanted to chase them.
