Mina was finally able to get out of the dress and shower after a bit. Emily was better, not so nervous anymore, and so she was able to tidy the room and then go downstairs. She knew for a fact that Emily would have the hardest if anything came to happen with Amelia. They were both very much connected with the girl, that wasn’t the case… But Emily was the heart between the two.

And, really, thinking back to it, it had been very selfish to not think of Emily before going out to the bar. No one had seen her dematerialize, back in the alley behind the bar, so that was fine. And there didn’t seem to be any demons around the streets the place was, so that was good too.

But Emily had good reason to be so worried and angry.

After showering and slipping into a set of top and shorts, Mina decided she needed to speak to Jimin and apologize. He didn’t deserve to be ignored. She wore the matching robe and then went out to the hall, walking to his room.
She knocked, earning a reply from him.

Jimin was sitting at his desk, this time, looking at something in the laptop screen. He looked at the door when she closed it behind her and Mina instantly tensed and looked down to the floor.

“Uh, sorry to be interrupting… I kind of wanted to speak to you.” She mumbled, her eyes roaming his room so not to look at him.

“What is it?”

Mina almost flinched at the coldness of his tone.

“I’m sorry I didn’t wait for you to take me to the bar… I know you said you would, but I was kinda vexed at Lucy, so I acted up. I’m sorry.”

Mina sighed when she was done, leaning her back against the closed door and then her head, waiting for his response. The quiet felt horrible in her stomach, not to mention the obvious ache that was starting to bloom again between her legs. It was getting worse, now responding mostly to Jimin’s presence.

She would go crazy if this kept up.

“Are you, Mina? Are you really sorry? Because the way you acted made it sound like you couldn’t care less. What if some demon found you?! What if they did to you the same thing they did to Amelia?” Jimin said, frowning deeply now and getting up from his chair “I said that I would take you to the place, why did you have to place yourself at risk like that?”

When Mina winced slightly, Jimin felt a little bad for speaking to her like this. But then again, why would he be nice about it?

“I know. I really am sorry, I didn’t mean to get everyone worried.” She mumbled, her voice becoming smaller.

Jimin rubbed his eyes and closed the laptop screen, not wanting her to see what it was he was researching.

“I'll go back to my room, now. I'm sorry for being so inconsiderate.” She bit her lip when another wave of pain left her weak and then turned to leave.

“What? Where are you going?” He suddenly asked, stressed to see her leave.

“Back to my room- “

“Isn’t Emily staying with Yoongi, again? You can stay here.”

Mina almost felt her heart fall down her ass… Jimin wanted her to stay the night again. He didn’t want her to leave. She just stood there while looking at him dumbfounded, waiting for the guy to laugh it off and then ask her to get the fuck out.

“Seriously?”

“Yeah, of course! I don’t want you to be alone again. You can come to me whenever you want.” Jimin replied, with Mina flushing a deep shade of red and going stiff.

“But aren’t you mad?”

“Well, I would’ve liked you to not sneak out of the house and putting yourself in danger! And worrying Em like that, too. But I'm not going to punish you for that.”

At Jimin’s words, Mina was speechless.

‘Oh, but I want you to punish me! Punish me, do whatever the hell you want with me!’

“Thank you… I'll just go- Ah!”

Mina doubled over with a yell, her knees going weak and shaky as she fell to the floor, with one hand gripping her abdomen. Jimin lunged to her, sudden fear for what could be going on with her. She whined in pain when his hands touched her arm.

“Mina, talk to me, where does it hurt?” He asked, putting her hair to the side and peering to look at her.

“I- I can’t- “ She released another groan, tensing even more and lowering her head to the ground.

Instinctively, he grabbed hold of her legs and body, lifting her off the ground to carry her over to the bed, where he placed her. Mina arched her back and contorted in pain, eyes rolling to the back of her head and hands gripping the soft fabric of her pajama top.

“Luna… Go get, ugh, Luna.” Mina grumbled, between ragged pants and gritted teeth.

Jimin lashed out of the bedroom and went downstairs, heading for the kitchen. Lucy was sitting at the counter with a book while Luna was moving away her herbs and cauldron.

“Luna!” He called, earning her instant attention as she turned to look at Jimin.

Luna frowned, not liking how Jimin was so stressed. Everything about him was always so soothing, which was why Mina and him were a good match. But now, Jimin was pale and looked concerned.

“Jimin? Anything wrong?” Luna asked, blinking in surprise.

“Mina, Mina needs help! Something's wrong.”

Lucy perked up, looking at him now “Is she in pain?”

“Yeah, she shouted and has been grabbing her stomach… What’s wrong with her? Can you help?”

“I can help.” Luna said, grabbing one little jar from her stash on the counter “She’ll be alright, don’t worry.”

Luna made her way out of the kitchen, with the small jar of herbs in her hands, and made her way upstairs. Jimin was about to follow her when Lucy called him. He looked back at the Witch, seeing her soften her cold, gray eyes at him.

“Can we speak?”

“But- “

“Mina’s in good hands, don’t worry. I won’t be long.” Lucy insisted, placing the book on top of the counter and then straightened to speak to him.

Jimin shuffled across the kitchen and went to sit in front of her, frowning. He wanted desperately to be upstairs with Mina, considering she was in such pain. He didn’t understand what Lucy could possibly want from him.

“I know you’re worried. Luna will relieve Mina's pain and help her sleep. After that she’s going to be better.” Lucy reassured, her eyes becoming warmer.

Lucy was difficult to warm up to. Besides her having slapped Amelia, she never really spoke to any of the guys besides Jin or the girls. She seemed cold and frigid, almost like she didn’t like to hang around people unless they were the ones she’d chosen. So, when she smiled softly at Jimin with a caring look in her eyes, it felt strange.

“What do you want to speak about?”

“Well… I need to explain to you something about Mina. Whatever your reaction may be will tell me if you’re suited to be her mate or not. By the way you look at her and how strong your bond seems to be, I don’t think there’s going to be a problem but you never know.”

Jimin flushed a bit but frowned.

“Me and Mina aren’t bonded.”

“No, not completely. But the pull to her is strong, no? You want to protect her, to be with her, touch her skin all the time. And then there’s the sexual urges, you want to mate. Mark her as yours.” Lucy said, her warm eyes not leaving his.

Jimin was stupefied. How the hell did Lucy know all this?

“Believe me, Mina feels the same. That’s not why she’s in pain though, and that’s what I need to explain.” She started, crossing her leg and getting comfortable to speak “Every Witch draws powers from the Moon. It’s where our magic firstly originated from. The Moon Goddess, or The First Witch, drew in powers from the Moon, and then fed her blood to her lover, therefore creating vampires. So, our powers are at their best when it’s a full moon.”

Jimin was curious. His knowledge of Witches was almost non-existent. So all this information was amazing in its own and was making him even more curious about Mina.

“However, all that aside, every Witch is different. Their powers' nature is different. Amelia draws powers from her contact with nature. She’s what we usually call a 'Green Witch’. Emily feels better when she has skin to skin contact with people. You probably already noticed that she usually likes to always touch someone when sitting close to them. She’s always touching Mina and Amelia, although with the latter she hasn’t been doing it because of her weaker state. I take powers from storms. The energy they produce, how they feel… Do you understand that?”

Jimin nodded, taking in the useful information.

“What about Mina? Where does she take her powers from?”

Lucy smiled sweetly before taking a sip from her tea and continuing.

“When Mina was just a child I had the hardest time to understand her. For a couple years I even thought she would die. When turning seven, Witches start to become aware of their powers. Mina, however, was suddenly very sick and weak. Very horrible fevers, throwing up and having constant pains in her chest. I knew it was because she wasn’t having proper care, but I also couldn’t find out what it was that would make her better.”

“Emily was always sad, too. Their connection is deep, so they felt each other’s anxiety. The years where she was constantly sick were dreadful, with a mopey Emily and an always sick Mina. None of my own mentors knew what to do either. Until Mina lost her virginity!”

Jimin choked on a molecule. What?
Lucy chuckled at his reaction, taking the moment to sip her tea one more time.

“What the hell? Why did that make a difference?”

“A boy from the stables apparently had been all enamored by her, always bringing her flowers when she was in the garden, even sneaking in to her room. He was a year older than her, I think. They sneaked out one night, even though she was sick. And then I figured it out!” Lucy continued, now smiling fondly at the memories “Mina’s powers thrive when she has a regular intake of endorphins. Pleasure taken from sex to be more precise.”

Now he was completely dumbfounded, not really understanding what the silver haired Witch was saying.

“Wait, so she has to have sex? All the time?”

Lucy laughed heartily. It was almost weird to see her laughing like this, it never happened. A cold feeling in his hand made Jimin look down to see Raksha nuzzling his fingers to give him a lick with playful eyes.

“Not all the time, no.” Lucy said between chuckles “Her sex drive is higher than most people, so you could say she is very active. In case she stays for too long without having sexual intercourse, there would be consequences.”

“Like the pain she’s feeling now?”

“Do you have any idea how long it’s been for her?” Lucy queried this time, setting aside her empty tea cup.

“Hum… When Em called her so she could meet Amelia here, I know Em interrupted her… uh, orgasm. It’s been over a month, and I don’t think she has been having sex. She only leaves the house with us and comes back with us.” Jimin explained, flushing a bit at his own words.

Lucy sighed, shaking her head.

“Little red likes to play with her health, huh?” She mumbled to herself before looking back at Jimin “Some years ago, Mina wanted to try and go dry for some time to see what would happen. She lasted two weeks before going crazy with pain and horrible fevers. The big idiot wanted to test herself. Dumbass.”

Jimin was wide eyed. Two weeks? If she lasted two weeks before, in what state was she right now?!

“Now, her not going to some stranger and getting things done tells me one thing. Her bond with you is already so advanced that she can’t have sex with anyone else unless it’s you.” Jimin blushed like a mad man at Lucy’s blunt words “When the bond occurs, none of you can cheat, so to say. There’s actual pain, you feel sick. So, she probably felt that.”

“It has to be me?”

Lucy nodded, smiling one more time. She was analyzing Jimin, a curious glint in her eyes. Lucy was desperately trying to find some sort of hesitation, fear, disgust… anything at all in Jimin’s expression. And she smiled wider when only seeing curiosity, surprise and then worry one more time. She could also pinpoint a little bit of nervousness there.

And then love. Jimin was completely in love with Mina.

“But why didn’t she tell me anything?”

“Really, what would that conversation look like? ‘I need to have sex with you because my sanity depends on it and it has to be you.’. Jimin, Mina probably feels horrible about telling you something like that.”

Right, Lucy was right on that one. And the way Mina had reacted when he had told her it didn’t matter how many men she had slept with was now replaying in his brain. She had been a little surprised. Mina was most likely expecting him to react badly.

“Jimin? I’m not telling you this so you can go upstairs and, well, screw her senseless. I said all this because I need you to understand her a bit. And then maybe act on what I just told you. Maybe. If need be.”

Lucy got up from her seat and squeezed his shoulder when passing by.

“Wait… You’re not mad? She’s one of your apprentices.”

“No, she and the other girls were like daughters to me. Now they are my most loyal sisters and friends. But that’s exactly why I'm telling you this. Because they deserve the best, and you are what’s best for her now.”

Jimin was still a little dazed when seeing her walk past him and leave the kitchen. He was taking a bit of time to have all the information sink in. Mina was bonding with him, so much that she couldn’t even take care of herself. She would rather get sicker and in more pain, instead of going to some random guy… and even that she couldn’t do, because she felt sick from the bond.

He snapped out of it when someone clapped him on the shoulder, to which he turned to look at Hoseok, who’s smile began to fade when seeing his younger brother a little out of it.

“Jiminie? What’s wrong, are you okay?” Hoseok asked, sitting down next to him in concern.

He took a while to answer, suddenly feeling empty from receiving so much information all at once.

“Mina… Mina’s my mate.” He mumbled numbly.

Hoseok raised his eyebrows, a little surprised at Jimin’s daze. He smiled softly, then.

“Why are you down here, then?”

“I… I think I want to tell her about me, my past.”

Hoseok nodded, pressing his lips so his little dimples above his lips appeared.

“Well, you never told anyone about yourself, so I guess that must mean something.”

“I’m sorry. For not telling you guys anything, I don’t like talking about it. I trust you all with my life.” He mumbled, feeling bad for not saying anything to the people he saw as family “It’s just taking a lot for me to adjust… I've never met anyone to whom I’ve wanted to speak about this.”

Hoseok smiled reassuringly.

“Jimin, no one is mad at you. We all went through some sort of hell, either way. But no one can blame anyone for not wanting to share. When you’re ready to speak, you will. And about Mina… I think she’s healing you. And that, on my book, is already amazing on its own.” Hoseok smiled again when seeing Jimin relax greatly “She’s good to you.”

His eyes filled with tears, overwhelmed by the warm feeling in his chest.

“We'll be here if you want to talk. Now!” Hoseok got up from his seat and ruffled Jimin’s silvery blue hair “Go up to your girl upstairs, she probably needs you. I'm hungry as hell!”

“Namjoon bought chocolate cookies, they’re in the top cabinet.”

Hoseok smirked and went for the cookies, happily taking them out. There would be a day when Namjoon would buy snacks for himself and actually eat them. Today wouldn’t be that day.

Jimin went up to his room not long after, frowning a bit when he heard soft singing coming from inside. He knocked lightly and then walked in, spotting where the singing was coming from.

Luna was sitting in bed, beside Mina. The redhead was sleeping soundly, her face now relaxed and colored a much nicer shade of healthy, her head leaning on the pillows. Luna, beside her, was facing Mina and her limp hand as close as possible to her lap, squeezed against the place where her womb was. Luna was singing, in a language he didn’t recognize, softly going through the notes, the tune flowing like ribbons of magic through the room. It was beautiful.

He wondered it Mina could sing like this as well.

When Luna heard his footsteps, she turned and smiled, gesturing for Jimin to come closer. When he got closer to the bed, Jimin noticed the burning leaves in a little plate, where the cozy smell of rosemary was coming from. It was soothing.

“Is she okay?”

“When she wakes up I’ll make her a potion to ease the pain a little more. But Mina's fine for now. Did Lucy explain?” Luna spoke very softly, smiling a little when Jimin nodded “It’s nice of you to help her. And I think you two are good for each other.”

“Really?” He whispered, sniffling a bit and crouching to look at Mina in his bed.

Luna tilted her head a bit, her amethyst eyes peering through him. Every time Luna locked eyes with anyone it always looked as if she was seeing their soul. Her eyes were fascinating, almost fairy like. There was a strange but soothing feel to the Alchemist. Jimin always felt at ease when he was near her, like he could heal every time she came close.

An odd thought occurred him. Luna would be a perfect match for Taehyung... if he ever even allowed it.

One of the Alchemist's hands came to squeeze his shoulder.

“I know your past was hard, Jimin, but sometimes we meet someone in which we can trust them completely with ourselves. To you, Mina is that person.”

Jimin perked up.

“Wait, how do you know- “

“I know a lot of things.” Luna giggled, tilting her head to the side.

Luna left the room so Jimin could go to bed, only giving him instructions not to stop burning the leaves of rosemary since those made Mina calmer. She also mentioned something about wanting him to hug Mina in her sleep because she liked the scent of bergamot and it was all over him.

He didn’t know Mina liked his smell… he sure liked hers!

Jimin laid down a little while later. He didn’t pull Mina towards him this time, simply studying her as she slept so still. She was beautiful… and his. It was strange. In only a month or so, after he opened the door to her, his life had done a complete turn over. In just one month, he had fallen in love with this amazing woman.

He couldn’t wait to know her more.

He wanted to see her sing, to hear her play the piano. Mina said Amelia could sing, so maybe they could do it together again, since Mina mentioned Amelia hadn’t done it for a long time. That would make her happy. And he wanted to know more about her hobbies and what her life had been like before meeting him. Jimin would love to spend hours listening to her speak about Em and Amelia, what they used to do, how they grew up.

And then maybe make love to her as much as possible, showering her with the love she deserved. Jimin wanted to kiss her again, he loved how she tasted against his tongue, how her scent of roses filled his senses to the brim. He wanted to wake her up with kisses and lull her to sleep in the same way.

Jimin loved seeing her interact with the girls, how she would laugh loudly, telling dirty jokes or just making funny faces at Amelia to cheer her up. How Mina would weave her fingers through Emily’s hair and just cuddle her twin sister with so much love in her eyes.

He smiled, tracing her cheek with his fingers

His mate… he had found his mate.
