[Luciius De Salvatoris (oc) x Samuel (friends oc)]

Luciius 'Lucii' De Salvatoris, The Grand Duke, was a well-known figure in society... Whether it be for his charming looks, or equally as charming personality, he was a force to be reckoned with. Tasked with keeping law and order in peace in the kingdom, he is an exceptional General within the military and royalty, all alongside the King and the King's son, Prince Samuel.

Unlike Luciius, Samuel isn't as... experienced in the life of royalty. Sure, he grew up within it, but his father would call him 'naïve' and completely oblivious to society issues and if anything, unknowing to the world outside of royalty.

That was until he met Luciius when they just small children.

"Samuel! Come here, there's someone I'd like you to meet." His mother gently called him over, and rosy lips curling into a smile at the sight of her son.

He had picked a couple of flowers from the garden, albeit the servants desperate protests, and held them up to her innocently. Blue eyes twinkled in hope that she'd like it... and ignore the green stains on his brown shorts.

"Oh! Is that for me? How sweet, Sammy..." She cooed, stroking his messy black hair that matched her own.

"Your Royal Highness, The Duke of France has arrived with his son. Shall I call them into the Royal garden?"

"Oh, yes please. Thank you, dear."

"Momma, who's visiting?"

"Hopefully a new friend, Sammy. Your terribly busy father wanted to make sure you weren't lonely. How considerate of him." She rubbed his small back before whispering under her breath, "for once."

"The Duke of France, Sir Callum De Salvatoris and his son, Luciius De Salvatoris, Ma'am."

Her smile melted into the wrinkles in her cheeks as she was greeted with a kiss on each cheek, and leaning down to let the small, blue haired boy do the same.

"Oh my, your son does quite resemble you, doesn't he, Callum?"

Callum only laughed in response and gave her a short bow. His tidy, long blue hair was tied back with a ribbon and he wore casual attire. Since he and the Queen knew each other since they were kids, she didn't mind the relaxed attire, as she was wearing something similar. Quite charismatic too back in his glory days.

Luciius was already staring at Samuel, making the small prince fidget and blush under the older boy's intimidating stare, barely even noticing said boy already in front of him.

"Your highness?" Luciius' voice spooked the boy out of his dissociation, finally looking him in the eye.

"Your eyes are like the sun."

"H-Huh?" The sudden compliment flustered the blue-haired boy, a peachy blush rising to his white-as-snow skin.

"Sorry!" Samuel mustered out.

Luciius only stared in shock before letting out a carefree laugh from his chest.

"I think we'll be great friends, Your highness!"

"Your highness? ...Samuel!" A deep voice shook the prince from his quiet slumber, groaning at the sudden outburst from next to him, followed by the sound of curtains being drawn back and then a thud, and being drawn closed again.

"What? What time is it?" Samuel groaned, hand reaching to find the lamp switch as he could barely unglue his sleep covered eyes. He felt the bed dip underneath him and let out a confused grumble.

"It's past midnight. Open your eyes, I want to see those pretty blue eyes of yours." The voice teased, a warm hand gently gliding over his skandily clad back, shivering from the touch as he pried his eyes open.

There he was, Luciius sitting in front of him with slivers of moonlight shining onto his pale skin. Soft lips formed a teasing smile as Sam could only admire how he looked in the light. His blue hair was coming out of the ponytail, not that it made him look unkempt. He wasn't wearing his white royal military uniform, instead a loose ruffled blouse and white dress pants. Even his blue diamond earrings reflected in the moonlight. Although, Sam noticed his left hand was wrapped in bandages.

"Good evening, my Prince." Lucii smiled, his hand now off his back and in his own lap.

Samuel frowned and patted the spot next to him. It was a king sized bed, there was enough space for the both of them.

Lucii shook his head and laughed at the prince's antics and slipped off his combat boots to crawl under the covers.

"Alright, alright. I'll stay with you."

The two laid there in a comfortable silence, staring into each other's eyes for what felt like eternity. Until Samuel's eyes started to tear and fog up.

"Woah, hey! What's wrong? Did I do something wrong, Sam?" Lucii panicked, his thumb immediately going to wipe the stray tears that fell down his cheeks.

"I'm not dreaming, am I?"

Luciius brought up Samuel's hand to his cheek, smiling as the realisation hit him.

"You're really back, aren't you? You're really here?"

"Yes, it's really me, my love." Lucii's voice softly whispered, shuffling closer to the prince to hold him closer as he pressed a kiss into the crown of his hairline, lingering for a few moments. He moved the black hair out of his eyes as chuckled at the Prince's sudden emotional state.

"Are you hurt? What about-"

"I'm okay. I just want to sleep, my love." His voice had dropped even quieter, pecking him on the lips to quieten him, smirking as Sam lingered for a moment.

"Goodnight, my Prince."

"...Goodnight Lucii."
