"Josh!! You're going to be late for the bus!!", I yell from the kitchen, putting Mia's bagged lunch into her backpack. I zip up Mia's backpack and hand her an apple from the fruit basket on the counter, "Take this", I say.
Mia sighs and takes the apple from my hands, "Why can we never have pancakes or waffles for breakfast?", she whines, tossing the apple up in the air and catching it.
I walk over to the front door, grabbing my high heels, and sitting on the bench, putting my high heels on, "Because, your dad and I don't have the time to make pancakes or waffles. Just take the apple and eat it, please", I reply, standing up from the bench.
Mia sighs, putting the apple in her sweatshirt pocket, "Fine...", she says, her words trailing off as she turns to head to the front door.
I hear the bus drive up in front of our house, honking the horn to let it know that it is here. I realize Josh isn't down yet and groan, "Josh!! The bus is here!! Get your ass down here!!", I yell. No response. I sigh irritated and walk up the stairs, going to Josh's door and knocking on the door, "Josh!! You're going to be late!! Come on!!", I say loudly. Still no response. I open the door, seeing Josh sleeping, his pajamas still on as the covers engulf him up to his neck. I groan and rip the covers off of him, "Joshua!! Get up!!", I say irritatedly.
Josh groans tiredly, slowly raising his head and squinting his eyes to look at me, "I'm coming, I'm coming!", he groans tiredly, putting his head back on the pillow and closing his eyes as he puts the covers back on him.
I glare at him, ripping the covers off again, "I have to go to work, get up, now!!", I exclaim angrily.
Josh groans again, "Five more minutes!!", he mumbles, keeping his eyes closed.
I sigh angrily and grab Josh's feet, dragging them off the bed, "Josh!! Your teachers keep emailing me constantly about you skipping classes...if I get one more email about you skipping a class, your father and I are going to be very upset", I say in an irritated manner.
Josh groans as he slowly gets out of bed, "I feel sick...", his words trailing off as he fake coughs.
I glare at him, putting the back of my hand against his forehead, "You don't have a fever, get dressed. I'm not going to ask you again!", I reply sternly.
Josh groans with annoyance as he grabs all his books and papers off his desk and shoves them into his backpack.
I roll my eyes and head out of his room, walking down the stairs to the kitchen. I look to see the bus about to leave, the bus driver looking at me annoyed. I wave to him, looking at him with an apologetic look. I then turn around, seeing Josh coming down the stairs, pajamas still on and his backpack on his back, "Josh! I told you to get dressed!!", I exclaim angrily.
Josh shrugs his shoulders, looking at me, "I'm fine, my teachers don't care", he says tiredly.
My temper rises as I grab an apple from the fruit basket on the table, turning around to see him on his phone, grinning a little.
"Josh! Take this for breakfast!!", I say, tossing him the apple.
Josh glances up from his phone and the apple smacks him in the face, "Oww!! Thanks, Mom!!", he says annoyed, bending over and picking the apple up from the floor.
"If you would get off that damn phone, you would've not dropped that apple!".
Josh rolls his eyes, wiping the apple off on his shirt, "If I get food poisoning or some shit like that, it is your fault since you're the one that didn't give me the apple when I was paying attention which caused it to fall on the floor", he says, slipping his phone in his pocket.
