5. Your Happiness is My Happiness

It was a brand new week which meant new busy days ahead were expected. The weekend seemed to be a long one for Agnetha as she came across several magazines from different parts of the world headlining Björn's divorce and the possibility of her getting back together with him. She couldn't deny that she was stressed about this and she would rather not be pointed at as if she was guilty. In her guts, she knew that maybe she had a role in this whole situation but she believed that Björn was adult enough to handle things differently. Whatever had happened during Voyage recordings should have stayed there. Silly things like a kiss were very immature from them to Agnetha's eyes and they should've realised that it was enough before jumping into something so serious. They were older and had separate lives but returning to the past triggered feelings they tried to hide and deny for decades. Agnetha was fully aware of it but expected Björn to at least talk to her before this bomb exploded for the whole world.

She was used to having a peaceful life where newspapers wouldn't go through her life anymore, and she already knew that some of that freedom would be taken away with the release of Voyage. Never in a million years Agnetha thought that Björn would divorce at this age and be pointed at for it. It was out of her control which she absolutely hated because it brings her to the old times when things were not under her control. Throughout the years, she managed to gain that control and finally she was the owner of her own life. Her achievement was being taken away by this news, and Agnetha didn't know what to do in this situation so she decided to call her old friend Görel, who has been the right hand of ABBA and of any ABBA member whenever they needed support. She was the only person that could advise and help Agnetha to handle what came and what was yet to come.

They agreed to meet on Monday at the studio, where every day Benny and Görel would come from 9 to 5 pm, just like any other "normal" job. Agnetha admired them for having such an ordinary life, without hiding from the public. She wished to have that type of freedom but it was impossible for her to have it. The thought of even stepping outside of the house and driving over the city to go to the studio was threatening to Agnetha. Especially now, where all the newspapers and magazines seemed to be interested in every move that she makes.

The best solution was to come to the studio before 9 pm when fans who sometimes visited the studio are not going over there as it was still closed. Agnetha would go there and speak to Görel and hopefully, when it was time to leave, it was still early enough to step outside without being seen. So, they agreed to meet at 8 am which meant that Agnetha had to leave the house at 7:15 am and that's what she did.

Around the agreed time, Agnetha was parked outside minutes before and saw her friend pulling over. Görel smiled at her as she recognised her car and Agnetha stepped outside to meet her at the door.

"Morning! Thanks for meeting me so early, on a Monday morning.", said Agnetha, hugging Görel.

"No problem! Let's go inside, it's freezing out here.", replied Görel, opening the front door right after. Both came in. "Benny might come earlier today. I think he has a Zoom meeting at 8:30 am."

"Is it just a meeting with him?", asked Agnetha who was concerned if (a certain) someone would be there too.

"From what I know it's just him coming here. It's a meeting with some of the ABBA Voyage team, but you know Benny doesn't do work from home, so he comes here instead."

"Right, because Björn could take any call from any place when it comes to working."

"Exactly!", Görel laughed. "Well, would you like some coffee?", she asked while they both walked inside the small lounge area at the office.
