1. Fight

"Adam!" The tall boy yelled as Adam threw the classroom door open and stumbling out. He regained his balance and sprinted down the hall. I stood outside the classroom waiting for my best friend and started to giggle when i had seen him stumble. He gave me a look and continued down the hall.
"I'm gonna kill you!" He shouted again. "Reed!"
I followed after him as Adam ran into Mr. Que.

I caught up with Adam when he knocked a girls books out of her hands. Adam turns round and starts to pick her books up for her. "Oh no. I'm so sorry." Adam apologises. I stand on the steps waiting for him with no patience. "That's my bad. Hi." He said . "Come on Adam, He's coming." I dragged on. "No" The girl said.
I grabbed His arm and dragged him to the stairs. "Okay. Bye."
"Reed! Get your ass back here." Ray yells as he catches up. They grab him from my reach. Ray pins him against the wall. "Ow!" Adam exclaimed.
"Got anything else to say?" He taunts.
"Actually, I-" Adam starts on. That boy and his mouth omg. Ray punches the boy across the face and then starts to speak. "Huh? No more jokes?" The bully spits. Adam groans. "Oh, i'm gonna enjoy this." Ray says in the most cliche way possible. "Who talks like that? Did you order, like a 'Bully Starter Kit" on Amazon or something?" Adam jokes. His nose dripping with blood. "I mean do you even hear yourself?"
"Seriously Ray, You sound so fucking cliche," I say to him.
Adam smiles at me while the other two boys give me a dirty look.
"Chuck, we talked about this." Adam turned to the other boy that usually just tags along with Ray.
"I didn't say anything." Chuck tries to speak. "Shut up, Chuck." Adam and i say at the same time, interrupt the boy explaining himself. Ray punches
Adam in the stomach. He doubles over in pain, groaning.
"That's what i'm talking about." Chuck tags along with Ray as they walk away up the steps.
Adam slides down the wall and wipes his nose. I sit down beside him.
"Hey, you alright?" I ask him. He wheezed and pulled out his inhaler taking a puff. "Yep" He sighed defeated.

Adam and i sit outside the principals office. I had been staying with Adam and his mother for a month or two now while my parents were away on my dads business trip. They didn't even bother to invite me with them. Just chucked me in with the Reed family.
"There will be an assembly in the gymnasium now.Please proceed to the gymnasium." A man over the PA announced. Adams mums boots could be heard throughout the halls. i looked up from my feet and saw her speed walking angrily down the hallway.
She doesn't give us a second to even open our mouths before she snapped.
"Not a word." His mother lifted his face up by his chin to get a better luck at him. She sighed and knocked on the door beside Adam.
"Mrs. Reed-" The principle goes to say but instead gets interrupted.
"Did you see his face. And, what you're gonna suspend them? Because what? You think they started a fight with that thug Ray? Was it Ray Dollarhyde again? It's barely been a year since we lost Adams Father. You could show some compassion." We heard Adams mum going off on the man. I give him a reassuring smile and grab his hand giving it a tight squeeze. He smiles weakly back and pulls me in for a side hug.

"It wasn't our fault." Adam excuses us.
"I know you two, and Adam i know that mouth of yours. I know exactly what got you punched." She ranted. His mother was basically like a mother too me. I was over there all the time anyways and i basically lived there so she basically became a mother figure. "He was giving us crap in front of the whole class." i replied.
"Yeah, i couldn't just take it" Adam agreed with me and turned to his Mother. "He's twice your sizes."
"Everyone is twice my size. I've seen babies bigger than me."
"Yeah, you are kinda short." I mutter.
He turns to me and gives me a 'shut up' look and i shut my mouth.
"I don't understand you." She softly said. "Dad would." Adam shot back.
Suddenly the car went silent. Ellie looks at me through the rear view mirror and gives me a small smile. i give her a reassuring smile.
"What's going in honey? Can you just tell me?" She pleaded. "If i keep having to leave work in the middle of the day, i'm gonna loose my job. It's the third time you and y/n have been suspended for fighting and half the time y/n hasn't even done anything."
Ellie went on ranting.
"I know, You'd think we'd be better at it by now." He plainly states sarcastically.
"This goes on you guy's permanent records. Get that? Care about your future? Do you? Guys you better start caring because the future is coming, sooner than you think."
I don't even know what i'm gonna do in the future. i'm absolutely clueless.

I sat in the green grass holding my phone in my left hand. Adam was playing with a baseball a few feet away from me. I look up from my phone and deeply sigh.
"Rays a dickhead." I state plainly.
He stops throwing the ball and turns to me. "Yeah, hes a bitch." He laughed.
"' oh i'm gonna enjoy this' Like what the fuck was that." I mocked Rays sentence. Adam laughed hard and went back to throwing the ball. "Your right, he's the most cliche bully ever."
We laugh and return back to what we were doing.
