I sat in my room with Olly on the other bed, scrolling through tiktok. I wasn't super interested in the party but I guess I had to go because Olly doesn't like being alone nor do I feel safe in my dorm with Amy and Ryder all alone.
My phone started ringing and Olly put his phone down, turning his body towards me to see who it was. It was unknown..
"Should I like... pick it up?" I ask
"It's unknown, could be anyone or some kids fucking with you over the phone, pick it up I've got this." Olly looked at me and reached for my phone gently, trying not to startle me with fast movement.
"Hello?" Olly picked up the phone.
"Hello, we're calling from Willow Brook college. This is Kaylee right?" Olly looked confused and handed the phone to me.
"Yeah this is Kaylee, hey! What's up?" I asked the lady over the phone.
"You've gotten straight A's and we want to put you into a higher level.. or you can go home and take the time off."
Olly sighed and rolled back over.
"Uh I'm actually not too sure right now, I was wondering if I could just stick to my work right now, I'm still trying to understand most of my work at the moment and I'm not sure it's so good that I move up a level if I'm still unsure of my recent work." I begged over the phone.
"Uh let me put you on hold for a moment." The lady put me on hold and subtle music played in the background.
"Are you going to go home if she doesn't let you stay?" Olly sighed.
"I'm not leaving you... I don't care what happens." I kissed Olly.
"What if you have to..? I don't want to lose you right now.. I'm not ready." Olly started to show his soft side.
"I don't know wha-" the phone beeped and the lady came back onto the phone.
"Unfortunately you have to move up or go home." The lady sounded upset.
I don't want to leave Olly..
I can't. I need to find a way.
Olly grabbed my phone and walked into the bathroom. He came back after 10 minutes.
"Go home.." he had watery eyes and hugged me tightly like it was our last time.
"N-no I can't leave you Olly. I can't. It's not going to happen I don't care how much it takes me to stay with you. I'll pay thousands to stay with you I promise I'm not letting go please can you come with me please..? I'm not ready to let go I swear you've made me so happy I don't want to, not yet..." I hugged Olly crying into his shoulder.
"Kay..." he sighed wrapping his arms around my waist.
"It's not time Olly please come with me.. drop out... I'll make your life the greatest. I promise! My brother will love you..." I continued to cry.
Olly sighed.
"I'll come with you. Just, in another life, love... it's not my choice and I'm not getting good grades to do this. I'm sorry." He helped me pack my bags.
My bags were packed, the room was so empty and the bed was made.
We kissed once more, and I walked away crying.
"Kaylee where are you going?" Amy sighed and grabbed my arm.
"Home." I starred into her eyes.
"Why... why do you have to go..?"
"Straight A's a had a choice to move up or go home to my family." I hugged Amy no matter how badly she hurt me.
"Oh. But I have an idea kaylee!" Amy squealed.
"Huh."
"Okay so you got to move up.. go home for this year! Then next year come back when we've moved up too!" Amy smiled and grabbed a bag of mine to help me bring it to my car.
"That's a wonderful idea, amy. But I don't think that's my choice. I will try though.." I hugged her and got in the car.
I feel absolutely drained. I was in love with Olly... he made me feel like the best girl ever. I've only known him for 6 weeks... oh god I miss him already.
I drove home and I saw Kai's car in the driveway. I grabbed my bags and unlocked the front door, looking at the wheel marks Ryder left when we went on a bike ride . I grabbed my phone from my pocket and looked at tear drops on the screen, drizzling down. I went to clear my tabs to close up any memories Olly might've left. Until I saw notes opened, which I've never used. I looked at my notes as "to my future wife" caught my eye. I've never written a note like this.
I opened the note as I read a short paragraph.
"To my future wife
-Olly <3
Kaylee, college has been so fun with you and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to finish without you, I popped my grades up in the last month without you knowing and I just received a phone call as I was in the bathroom, they only want me here for 2 more weeks. I love you kay, sincerely, Olly."
Jeez that was inspirational
"Ughhhh. Fuck you college" I sighed as I threw my phone into my blankets.
I heard the door slam just as I rolled over.
"Kay..?" I heard Kai yell.
"Coming!" I reply and jump up in happiness.
I run downstairs and run to Kai as soon as I see him, I hugged him for a few seconds but when he tried to push me away I refused to let go. I missed him so much.
"House is gonna be pretty boring without any of my friends around, hey?" Kai questioned to grab my attention as he pushed me off of him.
"Y-you knew about....-" I studder.
"Yeah kay, it was obvious" Kai laughed and walked to the kitchen.
"Oh.. I.. I'm sorry".
"Nah kay, I brought Ryder here for you and it was perfect because you two went to college together, about college why are you off so early?" Kai questioned me, grabbing some leftover burgers that he must've ordered when I was gone.
"Oh. Uhm well, I was in bed with Olly and-" Kai cut me off.
"Olly?" He smashed his fist on the table and agrily pushed his body around.
"Yeah Olly stun-"
"OLLY STUNDERFINE?!" Kai raised his voice.
"yeah." I tilted my head lost in what he was so shocked about.
"What's wrong?" I sigh.
"Kaylee... Olly is a bad person..." Kai gulped.
"Huh.." I tilted my head in loss.
