It was the next morning, both Jake and Sunghoon had just finished their first lecture with a new professor. "His voice knocked me out, that whole lecture was a blur." Jake says mid yawn.

"We literally sat two rows away from him and you were lowkey snoring, how the hell did he not notice you?" Sunghoon replied, genuinely confused. Jake just shrugged, he then pulled out his phone to read a message. "Oh cool, Jinyoung's having a party at the bar near campus with a few people from the arts department, you wanna come?"

Sunghoon only ever went to parties if Jake went, the thought of walking into a room of strangers became a lot easier when they were together. Although Jake knew the boy had difficulty talking to people, he was an expert at bringing out his social side and Sunghoon was thankful for this.

  "Yeah I'm free tomorrow."

"Cool, we should go eat something before the next lesson. Mcdonald's good?" Jake says as he takes out his wallet, which contained the exact amount of money for two burgers.

"Looks like we have no choice." Sunghoon comments, letting out a small chuckle.

Jake smacks his shoulder, hard.

The two had finally obtained their food and went to sit on a bench close to their lecture hall. They were discussing their worries about the future, like most university students, and they were on the topic of careers.

"After I earn enough money to quit my job in engineering I'm gonna open up the dog cafe that 7-year old me has always wanted, like I'm serious dude." Jake said, finishing the last of his burger.

"It's like my plan b after my parents basically didn't let me do veterinary medicine cuz they said it was the wrong type of doctor." he said whilst doing air quotes.

"I guess it was a good thing cuz I got Layla after they felt bad but I'd rather do anything but mechanical engineering." he added, Sunghoon taking occasional bites of his food whilst his friend talked.

"You still set on becoming a civil engineer after we graduate?"

After taking a sip of water, Sunghoon replies "Yup, there's nothing else I'm good at so I'll just stick with this, but if that doesn't go to plan you better hire me as a barista at your dog cafe or else."

The last part made Jake choke on his water, making the other boy laugh whilst he watched his friend struggle next to him.

"I almost died and you're laughing?" he forced out once he stopped coughing "Also it's a bad idea to threaten your future employer. Is it time to go?"

Sunghoon looked at his watch and nodded. They stood up, Jake dusting off the crumbs on his jeans, and headed off to their next class.
