THE UNWILLING MATE

I was running as fast as I could. My legs were hurting from running so much. I was short of breath and my lungs were desperate for a break. I was sweating profusely and my body was begging me to stop. But I can't; those men and women were still chasing me and I couldn't stop.

My legs were aching and as I was passing by familiar streets, shops, houses and buildings more and more people were curious and briefly glancing at me then completely ignoring me as if it was a common routine of theirs.

Slowly I am ebbing down due to tiredness and my lack of stamina. As I was cutting through air I could sense and smell the familiar fresh-woody scent mixed in perfect ratio with perfect citric blend. I knew he was nearby.

My body was too tired to continue further but the things which happened in the past act as my booster and the illusions that brainwashed commoners are fed with acted as my motivator.

Those things that I had been fed were too toxic and brainwashing. I would have to bear too much pain if I went along that path which I never want to experience.

I could hear their shouts as they were approaching me; they are right on my heels. My head snaps back to see how close they are and then I turn back only to crash in a wall.

Pushing my hand back to prevent my head from hurting I prepare myself for the fall and within seconds I was on the much awaited ground enveloping my eyes close.

As I open my eyes and look up I'm met with the most striking black eyes.

I gulp in fear when I notice that I didn't crash in a wall but a man, none other than my mate. XAVIER.

As I was sitting in my office on mahogany desk and completing my pack duties while signing and reading different pack related documents. Suddenly my wolf felt some kind of unease. I mind linked vector for any unusual situation. Vector verified that there were no problems and everything was going as per routine.

I decided to check on my mate. After informing vector I headed towards her home. The moment I entered I knew something was off as I couldn't sense her.

She ran away.

She always fought about our bond and still rejected me but neither I nor my wolf could accept it. Being an alpha I can't accept rejection and disrespect but my mate was always playing with fire.

He informed me that she yet again decided to runaway. The moment I heard it, I left my office immediately and informed my searchers about her.

I searched her usual hiding places but then I heard a commotion a bit further from the lake.

As I reached nearby I heard my pack mates gossiping about my mate.

She is referred as runway mate due to her continuous defiance to me. She still didn't accepted me and her wolf continues to be by her side.

I informed the pack mates to not provide her help of any sought and ordered my guards to catch her and bring her to me immediately.

I decided to take it upon myself and restrict her. After roaming in different paths I finally detected her presence nearby and decided to follow her. I somehow ended up in a street; there I saw her running around while the guards were trying to get a hold of her.

I was in rage. I knew it that she was going to be stubborn but didn't expect her wolf to also support her in her idiocy. Her wolf was not only supporting her but was constantly rejecting me and my wolf.

In my entire existence she's the first werewolf whose wolf supports the human in rejecting their mate.

Her wolf still rejects my wolf which angers me to no end.

As I moved further in the lane I was finally able to see her.

I knew she was heading south and so she needs to pass from the narrow lane in the 56th lane. My guards were on her tail and I waited for her the narrow lane. Moments later she entered it but wasn't paying enough attention due to which she bumped into me resulting in her fall.

Somehow without thinking she ended up bumping into me and fell and now I was more than happy to teach her ass some rules and the definition of constraints.

The moment our eyes attached I could already se the fear in her eyes.

This mistake will cost my little mate a lot than she could afford. Now here's where the fun part starts.
