summary
Retired athlete, Genevieve Hero, hasn't had much of a life since her career-ending injury on the ice, two years ago. Plagued by the memory of her botched performance and the events leading up to it, she has given up on the sport she once so dearly loved, instead focusing on her father, and his passion for soccer, despite despising both the game and the players. But all that changes when Maddox Weiss, with whom she encountered briefly in a rush of passion, joins her father's team, testing her will and forcing her to come to terms with everything of her past.
