I am literally never doing that again. A 3 and a half hour flight with my 2 year old was just as bad as it sounds. In all honesty the worst part is how busy LAX is right now. I know I over packed, but we are going to be here for months. I just wish I took into consideration just how many people would do in this airport. Lugging around my 2 suitcases plus Saturn and his backpack is hell on earth. I finally make it outside and text Sarah to let her know I'm waiting.

Me: hey peach we are outside where are you?

PEACH🧚🏻: right so about that

Me: about what?!? istg

PEACH🧚🏻: listen so h needs me to record this beat. i sent in backups. i think mitch or ollie should be there soon.

PEACH🧚🏻: im sorry el. but ill see you soon cant wait!!!!!!!! we are literally in the same place!!

Ugh. Of course. Just my luck. Now I'm sitting in the blistering LA sun. When I got dressed this morning I was thinking about cold airplanes and airports. And I definitely didn't think I'd be stuck in the blistering sun when I put on my favorite green sweatshirt. I just threw on a pair of black shorts I'm pretty I've owned since I was 14 with it. It's not like I have anyone to impress today.

I take off my sweatshirt leaving me in a tank top while I think about everything. Was this even a good idea? I mean I haven't even been here for a hour and everything has gone to shit. I have risked so much for this. I took Saturn out of a familiar environment.

I need to get out of this mindset and think about the positives. I get to spend all summer with my best friend and sister in California. The beach is right there. Plus I'll have Sarah or Ollie to babysit if I want some alone time. Yeah. This is good for me. It is good to be selfish sometimes.

"Omg! Omg! Give me my nephew!" Olive screams running up to me, taking Saturn out of my hands.

"Aunt Ollie!!!" he responds in his adorable baby voice.

"I missed you so much" she cries into his neck.

"Nice to see you too" I tease. Looking over her shoulder I see Mitch walking up. "Hey, why did both of y'all come?"

He scratches the back of his neck. "Ugh....well Sarah texted us in a group chat and when Ollie didn't respond I thought I needed to come."
