The day was finally done, and Daenerys was tired. She walked into one of the hidden hallways with Jorah, Rei, Grey Worm and Missandei following close behind. They dispersed to their respective rooms or left the palace to do something for the rest of the day. After an hour of sleeping Reina goes out into the city, patrolling the streets like the old times. When leaving her room Reina sees Grey Worm going into Missandai's room. He sees Rei and quickly goes across the hall.

Rei leaves the palace, the pyramid casting a shadow over parts of the city. Rei wanders into one of the Unsullied taverns. She spots her buddies and they get drunk while Rei makes fun of them.
The sun had lowered significantly in the sky and Reina took that as her sign to go back to the palace for dinner. She parted ways with her friends and went back to the giant pyramid. When she got to the dining room, no one was there. Rei went down to the kitchen, where the chefs said that Daenerys canceled dinner. She went back upstairs and into her room. She was in there for about 10 minutes before there was a knock on her door. She opened the door and found Ser Jorah looking worried.
"What's up?" She asked
"The Queen. I don't think she is feeling well. I don't think she wants to see me right now, she kicked me out. Literally."
"You asked Missandei?" She asked, knowing that Daenerys would feel more comfortable with her friend.
"She's occupied." He says quietly. Reina smirks and walks past Jorah. She quietly knocks on Daenerys's door.
"My Queen. Are you alright?"
The door opens suddenly and Reina is greeted by a short woman. She looks behind Reina and sees Jorah standing there. Daenerys pulls Reina into the room by the shoulder, glaring at the knight as the door closes. Although the room is dark, Reina can tell that the Queen basically gets her own floor. To the right of the door is a small round table with one bench surrounding it. In front of the door is a giant conference table, behind the table is a balcony looking over the city. To the left of the conference room is another small hallway, parting in two ways around a wall. When Reina turns around, Daenerys has slumped down, her back up against the door, head down. Reina kneels down next to her.
"My queen -"
"Daenerys."
"Daenerys, do you need anything?" Rei asked softly.
"No. Well yes. I just need sleep. I just can't. Can you stay here with me?" She asks, looking up at me. Reina nods, noticing how she shifted uncomfortably on the ground. Rei put one arm under her bent knees and one behind her back, lifting her up and carrying her through the hallway to the left of the conference table and onto her bed. Her head had rested on the stronger woman's shoulder. When Rei put her down, she whispered "thank you Reina." The way she said it made the soldier feel something she'd never felt before. Not that many people had opened up to her before. The queen was showing a certain side to Rei that she never knew was there; vulnerability.
Rei whispered back "Do you want me to stay?" to which the small woman nodded back. Rei went back to her apartment and got a book. When Rei opened the door, Jorah was still sitting outside.
"Is she-"
"She is fine Jorah. Go to bed."
Rei went and got her book, bringing it back to Daenerys's apartment and sitting at the small table. She had read for about an hour before hearing some screeching outside. Not outside in the hallway, but outside outside. She closed her book and walked out to the balcony. In the distance Rei saw a giant pair of wings. As the wings got closer, she realized it was Drogon. He screeched at Rei again and landed on the top of the pyramid. He sniffed the air, before 'yelling' at the woman. His roar moved her hair and almost made her step back. She looked into his mouth, the two sets of teeth and his giant tongue. When his mouth closed he sniffed Rei. He moved his head next to hers, looking straight into her eyes. She reached her hand out seeing if he'd let Rei touch him. When her hand made contact with the dragon's, she felt how tough the scales felt, and how it was similar to touching the bark of a tree.
"You have gotten big since the last time I saw you. Do you know where your siblings are?" She asks quietly, still running a hand along his nose.
He hufs in reply before Rei hears soft footsteps, barefeet quietly hitting the cold sandstone. She turns around and sees Daenerys, happy to see her son.
"I see you've become acquainted with Drogon."
"He's gotten big. The last time I saw him was when he was about half this size. I believe we were in Yunkai. I think." Daenerys thinks about the timeline in her head.
"Sounds about right. He really is getting big."
"Do you think he could keep growing?" Rei asks, watching Daenerys run her hands over his snout.
"I'd say he's got another few years before he stops." She watches as he climbs to the top of the pyramid and pushes off, leaving again. She sighs and walks back into the apartment. Following her, Rei watches as she walks around the giant apartment.
"Do you want me to leave?" Rei asks.
"Can you stay? I still am not feeling well and I might need you again. I'm so sorry if I'm taking your night." The queen replies, running her hands along the walls. Rei glances outside, the dragon's wings barely visible in the night.
"No, it's fine. I wasn't doing anything anyways." The soldier replies, turning back to the white haired woman who had somehow made her way over to the conference table. Sitting down at where Rei's book was, she glanced at the book.
"What are you reading?"
"It's called The Hobbit. It's an adventure book. I've already read it, I'm just re-reading it." Rei replies, leaving Daenerys to read the page.
Nervously, Reina asks "I have a question. Why did you need me, not Ser Jorah?"
Daenerys looks up and rests her elbows on the table. "Because Ser Jorah asks too many questions. I wanted to be in the company of someone who wasn't him. I'm also going through some female things." Reina nods and takes her turn pacing around the apartment. She walks over to another part of the room, across from the small round table. A mysterious archway sits, the pathway lit with a faint orange light.
"You can go through there. If you want. See where it goes." Daenerys gets up and looks at the archway. The shorter woman looks up at the taller one. Reina walks through the archway, following the path. Once turning the last corner, Rei walks into the empty throne room. In front of her, is the throne itself, the simple stool surrounded by sandstone. While standing in a perspective that she'd never seen the room from, she realizes that the room seems much more simple than from on the steps.
"Its such a boring room. Isn't it." Daenerys says, her voice echoing through the space; her hand runs over the stool that she sits on for hours.
"Only from your view. Come here." Rei waits at the top of the steps, holding her hand out for the Queen. Daenerys takes the hand, following Rei down the stairs. Rei, who had never held the Queen's hand, was nervous. Daenerys's hand was warm, and also soft. Rei, on the other hand, had calluses from holding a sword most of her life.

When they get to the bottom, Rei turns Daenerys around.
"Look at the beauty of this space. Although its simple, it is still beautiful. When it's daytime, the light comes through the windows, putting the lords and ladys into the spotlight. It gives you a little of a mysterious aura. The small slits of light also make the space seem so much bigger than it really is." Rei explains, having been in the room many times while thinking about the architecture.
Daenerys eyes the shallow water surrounding the place where Rei normally stands. She dips her toe in the shallow pool, creating ripples. Rei steps into the ankle deep water, her bare feet meet the smooth tile. Rei asks Daenerys "Why Meereen?"
"Excuse me?" Daenerys asks.
"Why Meereen? I mean you could have gone back to Westeros once you had Yunkai's ships and the Unsullied at your command. You would have been unstoppable. So why Meereen?" Rei explains.
"Are you saying that I am now stoppable?" Daenerys asks, also stepping into the ankle deep water, pacing alongside Rei.
"No, I'm just saying that if you wanted to leave Meereen right now, it wouldn't be at the height of your power." Rei notices how when Daenerys walks, the water stays like liquid glass around her ankle, whereas when she walks, the water has to be broken.
"Ah. I see. Well I couldn't just leave Slaver's Bay half conquered. I promised the people of both Yunkai and Astapor that there would be no more slavery. I don't make empty promises."
Suddenly she falls silent. She sighs and steps out of the pool and goes back up to her apartment, leaving a little trail behind her of footprints. Rei also steps out of the pool, wandering around the throne room, admiring the structure, giving Daenerys space.
When Rei does go back into the apartment, she sits down at her book. The Queen stormed across the apartment to the sitting room, grumbling about something. Rei doesn't know if what she asked made Daenerys mad but Rei keeps reading, trying to ignore her. When Rei had gotten enough hearing the Queen grumble about something under her breath, Rei got up and took the shorter woman's wrist in her hand.
Dragging her out to the balcony, Rei lays down, looking up at the stars.
"Come on. We are star gazing." Rei says sitting up to look at Daenerys, who looks annoyed.
"You've never star gazed, great. Ok, come lay down next to me."
Daenerys lays down next to Rei looking up at the stars.
"Whenever I got mad or annoyed, I would stargaze. Whenever I am looking up at the stars, I seem to forget about my problems. At least for a few minutes. Looking up at the stars reminds me that we are part of a big world where we are small compared to the stars. It could make some people stressed, that they don't matter, but that calms me down."
Rei turns her head, seeing how the Queen looks up at the night sky. As Daenerys falls asleep, forgetting all her problems from before, she quietly whispers, "thank you Reina, for being here with me." Daenerys doesn't know if Reina heard her before drifting off to sleep.
