•••••••••••Tennessee's POV•••••••••••

"Mom, Dad. This is Lilliana, she lives next door." I say to my parents. Then, I turned to Lilliana and said, "Lilliana, my parents, Zoe and Andrew." They wave at each other. Then my parents look at me with a glance that says 'I'm glad that you picked her to hang out with.'

"I brought chocolate cake!!" Lilliana pipes up. My dad looks at the cake like someone has just brought heaven into the house. My mom, on the other hand, looks like someone has brought a worm cake. Mom is a health nut. As she was growing up she never tried a potato chip or a chocolate bar but she is who she is and refuses to change. We suddenly hear bubbling and popping.

"Crap!! The pasta!" Mom says as she runs into the kitchen. The one time she allows us to have white pasta, she ruins it. I'm starting to think she did that on purpose. Dad just rolls his eyes.

We begin to eat dinner and I notice that the screen of the Lilliana's iPhone, which is poking out of her pocket, lights up. Then, we all hear the chime that goes along with it.

"Oh gosh! I am so sorry. I never remembered to turn it off" she gushes. My parents don't look disrupted at all, considering they are on their own cell phones. I glance over at her phone to see what the text is. 'Come meet us at the park in 30 mins!' is what is on the screen. Lilliana starts typing at an incredible pace for her small, little fingers. A bubble pops up saying, 'Can't! At my new neighbor's! I finally I have a friend that is a girl! Lol' Bingo! This is the perfect opportunity for me to make new friends.

"Do you guys mind if me and Lilliana go to the park after dinner," I ask. I flash a smile at Lilliana. I notice she looks nervous. What did I do?

"Girls, that sounds great! Why don't you finish up then!" my mom says looking grateful that I have found someone. She is probably thanking the Lord that I won't be staying home for the rest of the summer. Although Lilliana looks worried I finish my chicken and pasta casserole quickly.

Once we are both finished we go outside and start walking in the direction of the park. It's only about a two minute walk so we don't have much time to chat.

"I do have to warn you about my friends. They are kind of weird." she says quietly. Although, judging from the weirdness of the entire town they can't be that bad!

As we walk up I see two boys playing football on the field. They both seem pretty cute. They both had dark brown hair and blue-green eyes. One has his hair kind of gelled back and the other has bangs that fall, lightly, on his forehead. This boy is much paler than the boy with the gelled hair. I figure that Lilliana's friends must not be here yet. But she starts walking towards the boys. No way! Is she dating one of these boys? If she is I hope it's the boy with the gelled hair 'cause even though they are both cute bangs boy is cuter.

"Hey guys," she yells across the park. We walk closer to the two hotties. Maybe these are her friends, but why is she friends with guys? She seems pretty enough to be hanging out with girls. What could have happened that she had to resort to these guys, not that I am complaining!

"Hey, Lill Pickle!!" the boy with gelled hair and huge muscles, calls back. how is it possible for him to be so buff? He must be on steroids, I decided!

"He's naturally brawny" she explained, as if she had read my mind. Before I knew it we were standing face-to-face with the cute boys. My face is about 12 inches from bangs boy's face. We looked into each others eyes and there was like, I don't even know, maybe magic. There was something that clicked between the two of us. A spark. He looked about five inches taller than myself but still an inch shorter than buff boy.

"Tennessee, I see you met Blake!" she looked at us with a smile. "Tennessee, Blake. Blake, Tennessee." she says to make sure we formally meet. I look up at Blake and I see he is smiling and chuckling to himself.

"Lil, I think I know how to say my own name," he says to Lilliana. "I'm Blake." he says as he turns back to me. As I look at him a get this strange feeling that I have seen him before.

"Tennessee," I say meeting his eyes. "And why do I have this weird feeling I have met you before, Blake?" I ask. I don't even know why I blurt that out but he just smiles.

"You went to 'Little Lovebugs Preschool', didn't you," Blake asks as I try to figure it out in my head. The name clicked something in my mind and I realized that was a preschool I went to when we lived in Lexington. All the memories came flooded back to my mind. I remember my first love, when I was like, two years old. He had the cutest brown hair and matching dark eyes. They were the exact same as Blake's. I remember the day I moved to Vancouver, Canada. Me and my little man said goodbye and gave each other one last hug. Neither of us could stop the tears from flowing out of our young eyes. He stood in my driveway as the moving van and our own small car drove away from Lexington. Although we were three, we were in love. Or so it felt. Within a few years I had forgotten him and his name but things were suddenly flowing back. Blake. That was the name of the boy that I had a young romance with.
