The smell of time

"What exactly happened"
Said a voice to another
"You did it :)"
"No!!"

"I didn't do anything"
"What do you smell?"

"What?"

Ranboo opend his eyes sweat and tears drenched him he shot to his feet... his eyes wide almost popping out of his head shot around the empty black hole one red one green... he stood tensed for awhile
*no voice, no voice, only silence* Ranboo opened the side door and walked out of the hole 'what do you smell' the words rung in his mind not fresh but a memory that undoubtedly would stick with him unlike others.

"You smell like time"
Ranboo exclaimed again neon purple tears streaked his face and fell to the floor yet there was no sign of sadness on his face.
"What dose time smell like?"
Skeppy dared to ask, bad jerked his eyes in skeppys direction the familiar blue boy who had claimed to be his brother.... Bad already knew what time smelled like..... it smelled musty almost burnt with a hint of cinnamon

Ranboo finally blinked his eyes returned to their normal colouring, skeppy had never before in his life began to examine a being so carefully, Ranboo out of the short time skeppy had know him never blinked. Ranboo was tall and lean and had to hunch over he wore almost a transparent cloak over his face and a rope around his neck it was then that skeppy noticed the crudely stitched scar across his chest
"I'm sorry... what happens"
Exclaimed Ranboo his entire persona seeming to change
"It's alright mate"
Said philza, bad looked at his adopted father and brother and realized that this was not their first time witnessing Ranboo like this yet of the two years that he had been living with them he had never met Ranboo. Skeppy looked at bad and bad in turn looked at skeppy
"What dose time smell like"
Skeppy asked bad without breaking eye contact
Bad at this moment started to remember and connected with skeppy, he answered
" it's smells a little like burnt cinnamon"
Phil and Technoblade looked at bad
"How do you know that??"
Asked phil waiting for an answer, bad just looked at his dad and stated
"I know a guy"

"Karl?"
puffy said getting up from the ground roughy bruised ears ringing
"KARL"
She shouted unable to move *I think my leg is broken* puffy pulled herself over with her arms to a nearby log and propped herself up so she could see
She saw fire, vines,and blue fireflies??? She squinted through blurry smoked vision, and with a breaking cry she shouted
" KARL"
She sobbed, all she saw was fire she had lost bad, her
brother, skeppy, she had failed he mission she couldn't protect them *this never happens before, what did I do wrong* she thought to herself as she cried tears streaked down her face, her head fell and she rested herself... when she looked up she saw a blurry figure through the darkened smoke backlit with the smouldering flames
"Karl!?"
She blinked her eyes trying to see who it was
"Hello puffy"
A low British voice emerged from the figure who had gotten closer, he leaned down and grabbed her chin to face his face, puffy scowled as she smelled his fowl breath and he stared back with his empty eyes
"Immmm baaaaack"
He smiled

"Puffy?"
Karl stood in the middle of a massive field filled with allium flowers, his ear was jerked when he heard laughter.. children laughter, he walked over and down a slight hill he saw familiar faces but couldn't remember who they were, Karl often forgot things,
It was three males with two children one of the children was half piglin and the other was part spider,
"Shroud, be careful!"
Shouted the blond male who was tall and slender, a few years of worry seemed to be on his face, the shortest but strongest looking male ran up to Karl
"Karl! What's up man"
He exclaimed
"Long time no see! Still remember me?"
Karl at this statement laughed and shrugged
"No I don't remember you! I'm sorry"
Karl exclaimed awkwardly
"Welp is Tubbo!" The man said
"Thats Ranboo and that's Tommy"
Tubbo said gesturing to the tallest man black on one side and white on the other and then the blond man. 
"This is Michael"
He said putting his hands on the shoulders of the piglin child
"And shroud is Tommy's adopted son"
He said gesturing to the spider child who was now sitting in his fathers lap eating a sandwich.
"Not to be a downer or anything, I know I've met you before and don't remember, but I need your help"
Tubbo immediately spoke up again
"Yeah sure what do you need help with?"
Karl stood awkwardly for a moment trying to remember what he needed help with *oh right!*
"I need help finding my sister, her name is puffy!"
"Puffy?, OH!! I know her shes really nice she hangs out with bahd"
"Bahd!!?"
Karl responded confused how far had he gone back and was the version of his sister even in this time???
"Yes"
Tubbo responded curiuosly as if he was expecting an aswer to an unasked question
"Oh nothings i just never heard of that guy"
Karl lied, tubbo gave karl an odd look but decided that it was non of his business until it affected his family so he let it lie
"Alight then I hope you find her, good luck, it's just east from here"
Tubbo turned away and walked back twards his family ushering the curious children along with him while Karl turned east twards the woods into the dark....

It was a few days... as bad got reacquainted with skeppy. A few days after the warp in the time continuum, since the creature Ranboo stated the smell of time was on them...
"So you know me,? We're brothers"
Bad asked curiosity coating his words
"Yes,! Adopted from age 5 I think abouts"
Skeppy shocked himself using the old way he spoke so long ago
"Abouts???"
Bad looked confused, skeppy reddened a bit and answered the least akwardly he could
"I used to speak like that a lot, before I met you and your family I didn't have a lot of speech therapy... you guys kinda kept me in line, I guess being without you for awhile took it's toll a smidge.. I don't think before the past few days that we had ever been apart for more than an hour"
Bad stared at this brother and felt a connection, it made him happy to know and to realize he had a life before two years ago before Phill before Techno
At about that time in almost a flash of a second a giant swirling portal opened up in front of them
Karl popped his head out and grabbed them both pulling them into the swirling pool...
