"You'll never catch me Bee" True yelled over her shoulder before vaulting over a fallen tree "You may be my best friend, but I'm a-"
She was probably about to say 'but I'm a tag master' but Bartleby jumping down from a tree and landing on her head defiantly halted that train "Yes I am you best friend, but I'm a tag master. TAG! TRUE'S IT! EVERYONE RUN!" like he commanded, all the Yetis dashed into the trees only leaving the ones who didn't want to play and were just talking. Bee jumped down and pulled out some sun glasses "Good luck True, those Yetis sure can run. No tag backs."
True rolled her eyes while remembering the rule they made "Yeah I definitely agree with that one, thanks Bee!" she yelled while running, hopefully to find the Yetis; She kept running in between trees and dashing behind rocks to try and spot the Yetis until she spotted Urg trying to behind a rock. Key word, TRYING. Not only was he giggling but the rock wasn't even big enough, he still seamed to be having fun though. True sat in front the rock as Urg just kept giggling making her smile, I'm so glad Bartleby wanted to play tag, as a plan formed alongside her thoughts. True was going to tag Urg while running by and would skid into a U-turn (like what Bartleby did earlier while chasing her). Like most things in the Neverending Forrest, that plan could end with any outcome (True learnt that by learning Yetish as she somehow convinced the Yetis the moon was an octagon and the sun was a deadly lazar) but she almost always forgot to plan for everything when having fun. True positioned herself like she was about to sprint in The RKGs (Rainbow Kingdom Games) and launched herself with all her 8 year old might "Tag Urg!" Surprisingly 'all her 8 year old might' is quite a lot for True, she was able to tag Urg but overshot, AKA her downfall (both literally and figuratively).
Urg quickly realised what was happening but he was still not fast enough "(Insert scared and frantic Yeti yelling)" Translation: True no! The ditch!True landed with a thud and groan. About 3 milliseconds after the thud, Urg started climbing down into the ditch while calling out to True "(Insert more scared and frantic Yeti Yelling)" Translation: TRUE! TRUE TALK TO ME! He sighed slightly in relief when he heard her groan, not exactly talking but it's still something. As soon as he could let go without hurting herself, Urg let go of the edge and landed (by the looks of it the ditchs' depth seamed similar to his height, just a bit deeper). He immediately ran over to True but kept yelling "(Insert even more scared and frantic Yeti yelling )" Translation: TRUE! TRUE! He kept yelling as he knelt down try to get her attention.
True slightly lifted her head from her previous position of a full on face plant into the stone "...Urrg...is that you," she lifted her head even more just to meet his gaze "Oh crab-cakes."
Urg laughed slightly at Trues' response as he started to look her over "(Insert less frantic Yeti noises)" Translation: you could say that Tru-. But cut himself off.
"You alrig-," True cut herself off with a sharp gasp and bit back her breath. Urg didn't need to ask why. Not only was True covered in cuts, scrapes, and bruises but her ankle was bent in such a way it became an outlaw to the Laws Of Physics. You wouldn't want me describing it passed that."I'm so sorry Urg I shouldn't have dashed like that," True said for like the 60th time in about 4 minutes from Urgs' arms.
"(Insert comforting Yeti talk)" Urg reassured her. Translation: You don't need to be, True, I shouldn't have hid in front of that ditch.
"But it's my fault for tying to tag you and not noticing the ditch," True argued back before muffling her small yelp with Urgs' fur. Urg lightly placed a hand on the back of Trues' head and started to rock her slightly as she cried quietly into his fur. This both broke his heart and fixed it; it broke his heart since, well you know, his unofficial adopted child was crying and hurt but it also fixed his heart as True trusted him enough to cry (as she often tried to hide how she 'truly' felt about certain things. SHE'S LITERALLY LIKE 10!). True quickly noticed the fact Urgs' usually dry and soft fur became wet and rough and buried her face in her hands out of pure embarrassment "S-sorry..."
"(Insert more comforting Yeti talk)" Translation: You really don't have to apologize True. Urg walked back into Yeti Village (still rocking True in his arms) trying to not get noticed, yet again trying is the key word. One of the Yetis who was sitting out and talking (apparently about what season do leaves taste the best. I always thought it was summer crossing into autumn) looked around spotting Urg and therefore True "(frantic Yeti yelling with a hint of worry)" Translation: WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE WISHING TREE HAPENED!
Urg tried to explain what happened but holding back tears already stole his voice "...ur".
The Yeti who noticed took a deep breath before yelling "(I don't need to tell you what it sounded like)" Translation: EVERYONE WHO'S PLAYING TAG, COME BACK TO YETI VILLAGE, GAME'S OVER! The Yeti looked over to True ,who was still buried in Urgs' fur but stopped crying, and only had concern for the young girl "(Insert concerned Yetish)" Translation: Is...is she going to be okay? Urg didn't respond.
