Her Friends?

"He's not my boyfriend," she said.

"Then who is he? And why haven't you been to school for the past few days?" the person said.

"I've been at the station for the past few days."

"Ah yes and who is he now?"

"I'm Daniel. I'll take care of Pia. And who are you?"

"I'm her friend Jana. And why do you have to take care of her?"

"She has a mental disorder and has periods of being out of control, so I'm staying with her now and taking care of her," he explained shortly.

"Now you need a bodyguard too? Hahahaha! You're such a victim."

Now the others are coming too.

"Jana? Who is that?" He stood behind her.

"Interesting that you call me your best friend and your other friends don't even know me." Pia said. Daniel looks over at her and she continues to stare into her eyes. Slowly you could see that her stare made Jana feel uncomfortable.

"And who's that guy?" asked another.

"I'm Pia's boyfriend.", he said and took a step forward.

"Well, yes?! Why are you lying to me Pia?"

"Why are you using me Jana?" came as a quick-witted answer.

She stood next to Daniel and took his hand.

"W-what? I-I won't do that at all..", Jana said uncertainly.

"Then why do you stutter? You know? I've always wanted to say this to you: I don't feel like being taken advantage of anymore. I'll cut contact right here."

"WHAT? You can't do that!"

"What's stopping me? You take advantage of me and whine to me about your problems, only to tell me at the end that I'm not a good friend. I'm not up for it anymore. You're also using my weaknesses against me and exactly that's why I won't tell you my problems anymore." She said, turning around and walking away with Daniel.

"Everything ok Pia..?" he asked cautiously.

"Yes.. that finally had to come out. I've been through it for the whole 3 years. That's enough."

"Yes, that's right."

"Why did you just say you're my boyfriend..? Is there something you want to tell me?"

"Yes.. but that can wait. We should go home first."

"Right."

They walked on in silence and no one said anything more. When they got home, they made themselves something to eat and then continued watching the anime.

"Daniel? What did you actually want to tell me now?" she asks.

"You know, I really like you Pia. I would also be happy if we could remain friends after your treatment." Daniel said.

"I'd love to..", she said and was relieved inside.

"We should sleep slowly. Do you think you can sleep alone tonight?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah, I think so. If not, I'll just come over, ok?" she said.

He nodded and they got ready for bed. Daniel went into his room and Pia into hers. Then they slept.
