I'm walking to class thinking about what happened. Jaden was too cute sleeping. I just couldn't imagine my day going like this.
I sit down at the back and pull out the book I was reading when someone sits beside me, no one ever sits beside me.

" so I heard you are dating jaden" says the girl
it hasn't even been one day.
I look up and see Rylie Mcquin staring me down.

"Uh yeah" I say trying to move away
she blocks me with her arm and says "you know him and dated 2 years ago, me and him are meant for eachother, everyone knows that." she stares at me.

"So why aren't you together now?" I ask
"bcause he wants to focus on sport, I will never get how he ended up with someone like you. a filthy slutty nerd." she murmers the last bit, but I hear it

I clench my jaw wanting to slap her, I shove her a bit more then I should have and go find another seat.

"Sit down rylie!" Sir says "goodmorning everyone, as you know we have a school dance coming up and we need to pick a theme so each class will be submitting a theme and the principal will choose one most appropriate and fun."

ugh great a stupid dance. The days only just began and I just want to go home. I lay my head on the desk and zone out next thing I know it's first period, then second.

The lunch bell goes off and everyone heads outside, I walk straight up to my table where Lexi and Matt are already eating.

"hi" I say sitting down
"hey! I thought you would be in the libary or with Jaden?" Lexi asks with a surprised look on her face
"what do you mean? We always eat lunch togther?"
I ask very confused
"Well I just thought since I'm with Matt I thought it would be cool if we sat alone."
my stomach drops at what she says
"Oh right right, yeah I might sit in the libary today."

I walk away holding back tears. my best friend doesn't even want me.
I walk down the hall and into the bathrooms, there a couple of other girls there so I wait for them to leave before I start to cry, the tears just flow. I rinse my eyes with water and look in the mirror.
your dating the most popular guy in the school, well fake dating, yeah he's a douchbag but everyone loves him so they have to love you. I take a deep breath and walk back into the libary and read my book.

J- hey u Right?
J- I saw you walk off crying
- yeah I'm all good!
J- r u sure? I can come sit in the libary with you?
- no no I'm all good

I giggle a bit at him being nice, I start to imagine what it would be like really dating him, I bet he treats girls really well.

J- hey do you wanna come round to mine after school today? I think we have things to discuss about the whole fake dating thing
- yeah that probably a great idea
- walk home with you?
J- yep just meet at the gate straight after last bell
- see u then
J- yep

I feel my mood lift as if going to his house is actually gonna be fun. I can feel the day starting to look up.

I hear the last bell rin and rush out the door, I soon wonder why I'm rushing so I slow down but I still bump into someone.
"sorry!" I say like a reflex. I look up and to my surprise Lexi was standing there with this look on her face as if she wants to talk.
I stand there frozen not knowing what to do for a few moments then realise Jaden will be waiting.
I smile then monuvere around her to continue my path to the gate.

from a distance I can already see jaden at the gate looking around. I speed up and try and catch his attention.
"hi" I greet
"ay! hi!!" he replies "shall we?" He turns off into a specific direction and starts to walk while I just smile and follow.

we get to his house and he lets us in. My first impression is That it's quite nice and big. like he's rich. I suddenly become awfully nervous has he guides me upstairs to his room.

we enter and I freeze for a moment taking in everything, his bed how it's messily made and the beanbag in the corner with some clothes on it, infront is a tv obviously with a gaming console and remotes. On the walls I notice posters of famous baseball stars, his dresser has lots of metals and trophies with numerous photos of his friends and family.

I chuckle as he throws the clothes on his floor into a basket and pick up a few tissues.

"Sorry about the mess" he says directing to the bed
"oh it's fine, i am after all your girlfriend" I lighten the mood.
he smiles and grabs a notebook and sits down beside me.

"Okay! Ground rules!
1. trust eachother
2. no kissing
3. don't see other people
4. don't tell anyone
and
5. no falling in love.
you good with that? Because we can add stuff and take away stuff I just thought we best get it out of the way so no confusion and we can add stuff like along the way obviously."
I smile as he rambles
"Jaden. It's a really good list!"
"Okay okay that's good up well I'll rewrite a copy for you so you know you can have it with you"
He writes Y/N and JADENS rules for fake dating! At the top and hands me a finished list.
"Thank you" I take it and put it in my bag.

"Well we got that out of the way pretty quickly what do you wanna do now?" he asks looking at me with a smile on his face.
