A mottle of baby blue and white blended to fashion my favorite morning grey, adorned the newborn sky.

I swung my legs on the cold floor walking to my balcony. I pushed the metal door open revealing the wonderful garden behind.

The wind hit my face making my hair dance around my face. I walked to the edge of the balcony looking down at the garden.

The maids were trimming the grasses while some did other gardening things.

I smiled at the lovely view as I looked up at the sun. The rays of the sun went down hitting every corner of the Threlondia kingdom.

I have never imagined how beautiful it would become every single morning.

"My lady?"

I quaked at the unexpected voice. I was so lost in watching the rising sun that I almost forget about reality.

I turn around facing the maid that startled me.

"Yes?"

"The Queen sent you some dresses and jewelries for us to prepare you." She says looking down at her feet.

'Dresses? Jewelries?' I thought.

"For what?" I asked looking puzzled.

"According to the Queen, your future husband is on his way to our kingdom My Lady."

Oh. I almost forgot about our tradition. A man must visit his future wifes' family before seven days of their marriage.

"Well then." I turned around on my heels walking back into my room. "Go get me Orla and Ina."

"Yes My Lady." With that, the maid left my room.

The day had come where I'll finally get married without my consent. What's more worst than that?

I rolled my eyes sighing and looking at the dress. It was a two piece orange ball dress.

The top piece was sleeveless with crystals on the waist and then the bottom piece was long and has a slight ruffle design with shiny crystals all over it.

To top it all up, the earings and necklace had orange diamonds on it while the bangles were just silver color.

Why all these preparation? I'm just getting married not participating in a beauty contest.

A moment later, my handmaids Orla and Ina came in.

"You called for us My Lady?" Orla asked as they bow.

I looked at the sisters in front of me and how they dressed gorgeously. Even though they're maids and are prohibited to wear luxurious clothes, they still look amazing in anything they wear.

"Yes I did." I answered. "I want to know why all these preparation."

They looked at each other with puzzled expression on each of their faces.

I know they might wonder why I was acting as if I wasn't getting married.

"My Lady.... have you forgotten that you're getting married?" Ina spoke.

"No I haven't. It just that..." I picked up the top piece of the dress looking at it. "The dress is too luxurious. I'm only seeing a prince not going on a beauty contest."

I dropped the top on the bed standing up and walking towards my mirror.

"But princess..." Orla came to me fixing my hair. "He's not only a prince but also ruler and conqueror of many kingdoms."

"So?"

"What Orla is trying to say is that you have to look your best in front of your future husband- the first heir apparent to the throne." Ina explains.

Though I'm almost age mates with them and have no children like they do, they seem to know a lot about marriage.

"At what age did the both of you get married?"

"I got married at the age of sixteen. Married for 5 years now with a child." Orla says.

"Mine was age nineteen. Married for 4 years with two children." Ina added.

'Wow!' I thought. 'They got married at a very tender age. I should be happy that I am getting married at the age of twenty.'

"So tell me all about marriage." I requested.
