3 X 1 2     WILD AT HEART

The morning quickly came, faster than I first thought. As far as I was aware, I'd just shut my eyes. But nonetheless, I sat up in bed, a bed that wasn't mine. I turned to my side and was introduced to a sleeping Klaus. I chuckled lightly at the sight, when he was awake, he didn't look half as peaceful, but when he's asleep, he looks like he's made peace with the world.

"Are you done staring at me, love?" Klaus finally opened his eyes with a smirk.

"I'm not staring", I quickly turned away, though the lie wasn't a big lie, you could still tell it was one.

"Sure", Klaus sarcastically replied.

"I'm going to see Camille today. I haven't seen her yet", I told him.

"Elijah's still going to be ranting about that stupid prophecy", Klaus replied, then turned to me and saw my uncomfortable glance, "you okay?".

"They injected me with a lot of vervain", I told him, moving painfully as I felt the morning's pain set in.

"Well, not to worry, love, you won't be hearing from Tristan any time soon. And as for Aurora, the second we get her hands on her, she's got what's coming", Klaus told me, reassuringly.

"I don't have a doubt in my mind that you won't get her, Klaus. I just need to try think of a way these demons and angels from hell won't come down on Earth and destroy all man kind", I talked as if I was being sarcastic, but he knew I wasn't.

"You will", Klaus spared me a final glance.

Alas, I decided it was time to get ready for the day, I also needed to see Camille more than anything, I wanted to see how she was putting up with being a vampire.

"I'll see you later, I'm going to go to the bar and see Camille", I told Klaus as I left the compound, heading straight for the bar she still worked at.

When I got there, I saw Cami almost straight away. I turned between the dancing people and made my way over to her.

"Luci", Cami said, her voice was different, almost as if it changed in some way, she was much more confident and care free.

"Camille, seems you're getting used to being a vampire", I said, looking as the man she'd just compelled walked away.

"It's more fun than I imagined, actually", Cami leant backwards onto the bar.

"I guess", I shrugged, taking a seat on the bar stool beside her.

"Let me guess, Klaus sent you", Cami said, making my brows furrow.

"Why would Klaus have sent me to see you?" I asked, genuinely confused.

"C'mon Luci, you two are a lot more than friends now, I bet he has you doing all his dirty work by now", she dared.

"Excuse you?" I asked, sitting up and turning to her.

"I mean, I wouldn't be surprised. It's true, isn't it? Well, when you give Klaus the little update tell him to stop following me around, I don't need a sitter", Cami said.

"I'm not doing nothing for Klaus. I actually came here to see you as a friend. I've clearly been mistaken", I said, standing up.

Cami raised a brow, making her way outside without another word. I debated going after her after what she said, but I decided to go make sure she was alright, despite that, since she was a new vampire. She'd need all the help she could get.

When I finally made it into the ally she'd walked down, I saw her up against the wall with a human, draining their blood.

I walked over to her, leaning on the wall as I watched her.
