What is a Cellphone Novel?

A cellphone novel is a story telling medium originating from Japan in the mid to late 90s. Unlike a traditional book, word limits from SMS text or email subscriptions come into play. Due to these constrains cellphone novels would be divided by chapters, with each chapter lasting the length of 70-200 maximum word count.

Despite text messages in the modern day not having real word limits, these word constraints are still respected. Traditionally the chapters are meant to be stream-of-consciousness writing with little to no planning beforehand. Though this is not a set rule, and drafting beforehand is not forbidden, it is generally agreed upon that it loses its spontaneity and impressionistic nature when a structure to the cellphone novel is written in advance.

In this novel I intend to write it intuitively and see where the characters and story want to go. I apologize for any errors as a result
