Chapter 1- When You Fall

Third Person Pov

Aldera High School: 8:35 AM

Headphones on to block out the noise.

Perfect silence amidst clamoring voices.

Completely still and solemnly content.

Izuku Midoriya, sitting in an old wooden chair in the back of the class by the open window.

Leaning on his elbows on his desk whilst he looked out the window.

Staring out onto the outside world until he started to doze off, eyelids beginning to flutter open and close slowly.

Subconsciously leaning his head down, slowing down as his head came closer to the desk.

Crossing his arms under his head as he laid on his vandalized and rickety desk.

Unknowingly letting his black and green noise-canceling headphones slip down off his ears and around his neck as he closed his eyes.

Soon becoming dead to the world around him.

Losing himself to the land of dreams and memories as he succumbed to deep sleep.

The Land Of Dreams And Memories - Endor Park: 14 Years Ago

A 4-year-old Izuku Midoriya could be found defending a small blonde girl from his childhood friend and soon-to-be tormentor, Katsumi Bakugo.

"Why are you being so mean, Katchan?" Midoriya asked as he stood in front of a blonde girl that was lying on the ground. "Can't you see she's crying?" Midoriya asked rhetorically as he extended his left hand back to gesture to the girl whilst tears threatened to pour from his eyes. "If you keep going..." Midoriya said as he stared at Katsumi and her cronies. "I-I'll stop you myself!" Midoriya yelled as he raised his hand in front of him and took a weak fighting stance.

"Even though you're just a boy..." Katsumi said as she giggled menacingly and looked down slightly whilst producing small explosions in both of her hands. "You're still pretending to be a hero, Deku?" Katsumi asked rhetorically as she closed her eyes and smiled at Midoriya whilst she looked up at him. "Okay then..." Katsumi said as she opened her eyes and extended her hands behind her. "We'll just have to show you where pretending to be a hero will get you." Katsumi said as she rushed toward Midoriya with her explosions whilst being followed closely by her cronies.

What soon followed was the first of many beatings Midoriya would experience throughout his life as one of the few males left in a world full of superpowered females.

Midoriya was left on the ground face up, looking up at the cloudy sky, his body covered in dirt, minor burns, small cuts, and scrapes with a ringing sound in his ears, barely allowing him to hear the voice of the girl calling out to him.

"H-Hey..." The blonde girl said as she looked down at Midoriya.

'Mom was right; all people are not created equal.' Midoriya thought as he stared at the cloudy sky whilst it started drizzling.

"Midoriya."

"Hey, are you a-alright..?" The blonde girl asked as she stared at Midoriya whilst her voice slowly started to fade out.

'So this is the reality of society...' Midoriya thought as he watched the rain start to pick up whilst the blonde girl's voice got drowned out by the sounds of the rain and the ringing in his ears whilst his eyes began to flutter open and close slowly.

"Midoriya..."

'Then I guess this will just be the first of many setbacks in my life...' Midoriya thought as he felt the raindrops fall onto his body and felt a bit of relief from his injuries whilst he slowly closed his eyes.
