SK Tanjung Aru 2 is located in the urban areas, which means the challenges in the school is much more demanding than schools in rural areas. Compared to my last two SBE's, which were both a rural area school, this school is much more active and all the students are evidently much more knowledgeable, some even more witty about the current trends than me.

The headmaster is a very hardworking person. She doesn't just sit in her office and do paperwork. Every day, she will be the first person to stand by the gates to greet all of her students. It amazes me how she recognizes almost all of her students. Usually, students will be scared of the headmaster, but it warms my heart when I saw that the students all greeted the headmaster cheerfully, looking at her with admiration. The headmaster also made sure to help any students who are not tidy, for instance, there was a student who came to school with oversized shoes. She assigned a teacher to go to the office to find some spare shoes to give to the student. The headmaster is always seen patrolling around the school grounds, always leaping around here and there, making sure everything is in order.

I see that all the teachers are busy, even after class is finished, their job is still not done. The teachers need to monitor the students as they wait for their parents to come. Since the driveway to the school is quite narrow, always ending up with traffic jam, the headmaster created a system where the students will be gathered under a few tents inside the school grounds, and the parents will drive their vehicles inside in a mannerly order to ensure a steady flow. Even so, there are students who will just immediately run towards their car as soon as they see it. This is why teachers need to monitor them to ensure their safety.

There are also problems with parents, as they always seem to complain at even the smallest things done by the teacher, blindly listening to whatever their child is telling them. I feel like parents need to be more understanding towards teachers, not just trying to tell them to do their job better. Teachers need to focus on all students, not just their child, They have to handle numerous class, all packed with students who have different personalities and attitudes, which is stressful for them to handle, at some point.

To sum it up, my experience throughout our SBE was memorable and it changed a lot of my perspectives towards numerous aspects, such as the challenges for teachers, how to handle the students and parents, and many more. I can understand why they say teachers place a special place in a student' heart, albeit positively or negatively, as how they act towards the students shape who they are today.
