So in my AU of RWBY,
Raven and Summer are on one last job together, but someone kills Summer with a poisoned blade. Using her last words, she makes Raven promise to care for Ruby. Raven promises and summer thanks her before dying in her friends arms while the black haired woman cries.
Later, Qrow finds her and summer and goes to taiyang's home with her carrying Summer's body. When they arrive, taiyang is broken and so is Yang.
Ruby doesn't understand, cause she's twee and the most adorable- I'm rambling aren't I? Sorry, anyway!
Raven and Taiyang get into a fight, and Taiyang gets a bit violent, so Raven Takes Ruby while Qrow takes yang.
They go to Qrow's home and stay there till tai calms down. Raven becomes attached to Ruby. Tai and Raven comes to an agreement because of Summer's promise. Raven adopts Ruby with the agreement of tai getting her every Friday and Saturday with Sunday for themselves.
Now fast forward three years and now Ruby is six. Still adorable.
Tukson moved in with his two adopted children, Velvet and Sun. The children become quick friends and tukson becomes the babysitter since he owns his own bookstore.
Fast forward two years later and Adam and Blake come into the picture. They're also adopted by tuk.
They become friends with Ruby as well after Ruby gets them out of their shells.
Now a month later, Grimm attacks their home and Ruby is cornered after getting pretty hurt. Enough to scar.
Raven is trying to get to her, but she can't with the Grimm in her way.
Ruby curls in on herself and screams.
A tornado of rose petals erupts from her and destroys the Grimm. She falls unconscious.
Now she has nightmares of that event.
Now to regular time.
It's all canon verse with my own personal touches.
