She's alone, sad, but smart enough to hide her abilities from the rest of the world. Until she meets a friendly, chaotic but smart boy in her new school which changes everything.
Book one.
I open my eyes and see the sun is already shining. It's 6:03am, way to early. I get up, put some clothes on, get ready and walk into some rooms of other kids to wake them up.
After breakfast I went to school and went to my first class. Right now, I'm walking down the hallway to get to my next class. I see Peter and Ned walking in front of me.
"Hey guys" I say and speed walk to them
"Hey Antonia" Ned says and smiles
"Hey" Peter says, seems like he's not really happy to see me
"Am I interrupting something?" I ask "I can just go" I say
"No! no, it's fine" Peter says
"soooo, do you like it here?" Ned asks
"I mean, yeah I-" I start but stop because Peter suddenly stops walking and stares at two man walking towards us
Peter jumps to the right and hides behind the wall. Ned and I are still walking until Peter whispers,
"come on, come on, come on"
Ned and I look at each other and walk to Peter
"what?" I whisper
"Hey that's one of the guys that tried to kill me" he says to Ned after looking down the hall
"what?" Ned whispers "we gotta get out of here"
"someone tried to kill you?!" I ask but still whisper
Both of them look at me with big eyes.
"Antonia, you need to go" Peter says
"why?" I ask
"just go!" He yelled quiet
"No" I say "I'm going nowhere"
"you two, go! I gotta follow them" Peter says "Ned, they can lead me to the guy that dropped me in the lake"
"someone dropped you in a lake?!" Ned and I ask at the same time
"yeah, it was not good" Peter answers
"WTF is happening?!" I ask "you two are playing with me right?" I say, chuckling
"No" Peter says
"yeah, right. You know what, you had me. I really thought someone tried to kill you for a moment. All right, good joke. See you later guys" I say and walk past them, down the corner where the guys came from. They walk into the door at the end of the hall.
"Antonia!" Peter yells
I walk and suddenly Peter grabs me by my waist and draggs me into a room. He pushes me against the wall and covers my mouth. That's when I see it.
"that's you right?"
