I didn't share with Anastasia the events that unfolded when I returned to my dorm last night. Instead, I claimed to have studied late into the night, conveniently forgetting about the time. I didn't want to deceive her, but Malfoy had made it explicitly clear that I should keep quiet about it—especially considering the implications of him, a pureblood, kissing me, a half-blood. That would undoubtedly be a source of shame for him.

Anastasia and I made our way to the great hall for breakfast, realizing we were running late. The boys were likely waiting for us at our usual table, and indeed, they were.

Since waking up, my thoughts had been consumed by the unexpected event with Malfoy. Initially, I tried to dismiss it as a dream, but the reality remained, leaving me confused. How had I allowed someone who consistently treated me poorly to get so close and even kiss me under his control? I was furious with myself, and the prospect of facing him now felt incredibly embarrassing.

Theo greeted us as we sat down across from him, Malfoy, and Blaise. Avoiding Malfoy's gaze, I couldn't bring myself to look at him anyway.

Mattheo broke the silence, "Well, hello, you two!

Reaching for food my hair slipped onto one side of my face. Theo was fast to notice something I hadn't. "Who the fuck did you sleep with last night?" He reached over to move my hair, revealing bruises on my neck down to my collarbone. I hadn't noticed them the night before or that morning. Panic surged as I tried to figure out what to say.

"What—" I began to protest, my eyes meeting the curious gazes of my friends. Anastasia and Blaise appeared shocked, while Mattheo wore a smile. When I finally glanced at Malfoy, a grin adorned his face.

"It's nothing," I hastily replied, but Theo's furrowed brows indicated he saw through my lie.

"You're a terrible liar, Nellie," Blaise chuckled.

"Now you have a lot to tell me, Nellie," Anastasia insisted, giving me a confused look.

I avoided delving into the topic further and steered the conversation toward Thanksgiving break plans. Although it was six weeks away, they seemed eager to plan. Uncertain if I was part of their plans, I remained silent, focusing on my food while they discussed their plans.

Theo turned to Anastasia, "Why can't we be at your place?"

"No, it's not working this year, and we're always at my house," she explained.

Blaise was then asked about his plans, and the story continued.

"Ana, have you forgotten that you are meeting my parents during the break?" Blaise questioned Ana. I looked up at them.

"Oh, sorry, of course not. I guess you four can find something to do instead," Ana responded, glancing in my direction.

Four? Did she mean me?

"Now you're going to invite us to your house, Nellie," Mattheo snapped, sounding a bit annoyed because of Anas answer. I looked at him in confusion, only to realize he was being sarcastic.

"I didn't know I was part of your plans," I mumbled back to him.

"Are you dumb?" You think we'd sit here discussing this and not invite you? Seriously?" Theo questioned, making it sound like I was oblivious.
