"I really don't know if this is a good idea," Jisung said hesitantly.

Minho's blinds were drawn but his window was still open so he could hear Jisung talking to him as he changed and got ready to take Jisung to see (well, not really see) his school.

He wasn't quite sure why he felt the need to pull the blinds down even though Jisung wouldn't be peeping anyway. Or why he even wanted to make himself look nice at all, it didn't make sense to him but he did it anyway.

"Why not?" Minho called back, pulling one of his favorite shirts over his head carefully so he wouldn't mess up his hair that he already brushed and casually styled.

"You know why not. I don't even- I don't even know you! Just because you're my neighbor doesn't mean you're not dangerous."

Minho chuckled. "I am dangerous. But that's what makes it fun, right?"

There was a moment of silence before Jisung responded.

"That was a joke, right?"

"Why?" Minho asked, sitting down in front of his mirror to apply some eyeshadow to his eyelids. "Is being dangerous a bad thing? I think it sounds kinda cool and mysterious."

"Minho, I'm literally putting my life in your hands. You could tell me to walk into a brick wall, or- or off a cliff, and I wouldn't even realize!"

"Pretty sure there's exactly zero cliffs near us."

He heard Jisung scoff. "Yeah, and a murderer would tell me that they don't have a weapon, but guess what that deadly item in their pocket is?"

Minho had to stop himself from laughing out loud at Jisung's adorable frustrated and worried state. "Jisung, I promise I'm not going to hurt you. If you really don't feel comfortable, we don't have to go. I just, I really kinda wanna hang out with you, and I mean you were curious about school so I thought it might be fun but- but if it makes you uncomfortable we definitely don't have to go, okay?"

As Minho spoke, he stood up and walked over to his window, raising the blinds to find Jisung sitting with his arms folded against the windowsill, his head resting on his arms and his eyes closed.

It hit Minho again just how beautiful Jisung was.

Jisung hummed, his eyelashes fluttering. "Also, do you even have any experience with visually impaired people?"

Minho shrugged. "I've talked to you."

"No, like do you really want to be seen with me? Like, I don't really go out, but I have this cane that I'm supposed to bring when I do leave the house and I'm completely sure it would be really embarrassing for you if someone saw us. Not to mention how embarrassing it is for me to have to walk around with that thing. It's all just- ugh."

Minho leaned against the side of the window frame, watching as Jisung sat up and ran his fingers through his hair.

"You don't have to bring the cane, then," Minho responded, trying not to think about how soft Jisung's hair looked and how much he wanted to run his own fingers through it.

"So it would embarrass you?" Jisung asked quietly.

"What- no!" Minho hurried to say, his eyes widening as he quickly shook his hands in protest. "No, I, I really wouldn't care at all. But you just said that it's embarrassing for you and I don't want you to have to feel embarrassed at all, that's all. But I really wouldn't care. It's whatever you wanna do."

Jisung laughed humorlessly. "Well, I mean, it's not like I can get around that well without it, especially since we're going somewhere I've never been before."

"So that means we are going?" Minho looked at Jisung hopefully, even though obviously he couldn't see him.

Jisung gave a small shrug. "Sure. Plus I'm soooo curious about a ton of stuff about the school so I'm kinda excited." He giggled a little, sending a thumb's up in Minho's general direction.

Minho broke out into a smile. "Great. And I could, like, I dunno, hold your hand or something. If you want. To, you know, help you navigate."

Jisung's cheeks turned pink, his lips upturning slightly. "Oh- you- you don't have to do that, if you don't want to."

Minho looked down at his hands, playing with his fingers. "I wouldn't offer it if I didn't want to," he said quietly, half-hoping Jisung would hear him and half-hoping he wouldn't.

Based on how Jisung's cheeks effectively went from light pink to dark pink, yeah, he heard him.

Minho quickly cleared his throat and turned away from Jisung, looking around his room for his shoes. "So do you want me to come knock on your door or...?" he asked over his shoulder, spotting his shoes and waddling over to them to put them on.

"No!" Jisung yelled suddenly, making Minho jump. "No, I mean, don't knock on my door, I'll just meet you outside."

Minho nodded. "Okay. I'm, um, gonna close my window now, but I'll see you in like eight seconds, okay?"

He watched Jisung hesitantly nod in response. "...Okay. See you in a second."

And with that, both boys shut their windows, both taking in deep breaths for courage and making their way down the stairs and outside.
